Therefore, the essence of bodhicitta should be regarded as the ultimate essence. Secondly, if classified, there are three. In the Great Array Sutra, it says: 'However, after my passing, it will appear like this: for sentient beings, it is the Mind Division; for those who dwell in space, it is the Space Division; for those free from gradual effort, it is the Instruction Division.' Thus. That is to say, for those who regard external and internal dharmas as other meanings, or who are attached to mandalas and so on, in order to abandon the self-grasping of duality, everything is the play of self-arisen wisdom. The impure vessel and essence world, together with impure appearances, are illusions of the mind. All appearances of pure nirvana are appearances and plays of wisdom. Therefore, it is necessary to gather the great two-in-one liberation into the expanse. After that, in order to liberate attachment to it as well, all dharmas have never existed, never not existed, are primordially liberated, primordially perfected, and great. By being flat and open, attachment to antidotes is also liberated. Therefore, it is necessary to enter the great pure equality of primordial purity. After that, in order to destroy the aspect of attachment to emptiness, which is the antidote, what should be adopted, and the liberation of the nature of reality, and to directly show how the spontaneously accomplished great luminosity of the pure expanse abides, the Instruction Division is taught. Therefore, it is necessary to see it in the realm of manifest sensory perception and attain liberation in this very life. In short, by liberating from the extremes of both what is to be abandoned and the antidote, the characteristic of the essence of reality is shown. By the order of these three, the three divisions of Mind, Space, and Instruction should be understood. First, the Mind Division, although its essence appears in various ways, it is believed that it does not go beyond the play of the single mind itself, just as various white and red colors appear on the surface of a mirror. Appearing in various ways is the appearance of the mind, and what is not established in meaning and is non-dual is the essence of the mind. The luminosity of mind itself is regarded as self-arisen wisdom, as stated in the Space Clarity: 'The various appearances of the mind, its basis, the non-dual mind itself, is the unmoving lord of self-arisen wisdom, said to be luminous and free from elaboration.' Thus. Nowadays, ignorant people say that Dzogchen considers appearances to be the mind. This is very unreasonable, because it would lead to the mind having color, being definable, and having direction, because appearances appear in that way. Therefore, appearing in various ways is a magical display appearing in the mind.

It should be known that, like the image in a mirror, it does not actually exist, but is the nature of the appearance in the mind, possessing the aspect of habitual confusion. The nature of mind is like the surface of a clear mirror, without limitation or bias, each possessing its own self-illuminating essence, transcending the extremes of elaboration such as one and many. Dividing this, there are seven types. The first, the mind that considers the result to be the source of the mind, is: the result is called the primordial realm of reality, because the nature of reality does not change, so the nature of mind does not change, and the appearance of things as entities and characteristics is originally liberated. The appearance of the basis of liberation exists as spontaneously accomplished. The appearance of delusion, The three realms, all phenomena of environment and beings, do not actually exist, but because of appearance, from the aspect of non-existence, they have not moved from the basis. Not moving, it will not become moving, therefore emptiness is devoid of impure self-characteristics. From the aspect of appearance, it first arose from the realm of reality, now abides in the realm of reality, and ultimately is liberated into the realm of reality, like the illusion of space, it is the spontaneously accomplished basis without beginning or end. Because it is primordially established, it cannot be liberated by later antidotes. Because it is self-established, antidotes do not exist. Because no effort is needed, it is the spontaneously accomplished, free from various extremes. The second, the mind that transforms faults and obscurations into the path, is: the eight successive stages are mentally fabricated and have become dharmas that deviate from the basis, therefore they are not truly established. Here, the essence of self-arisen wisdom is separate from mind, therefore the nature of reality that transforms causes and conditions into the path is the primordial great emptiness, free from memory, thought, and bias. Although the appearance of impure phenomena and worldly environment and beings appears, it did not arise from anywhere in the beginning, therefore there is no basis for the place of origin. Now it does not abide anywhere, therefore there is no place of abiding and no dharma of abiding. Ultimately it will not go anywhere, therefore there is no place of going and no dharma of the goer. Therefore, the so-called delusion is only a name, and in the realm of the great primordial liberation of the three realms, the belief in liberation and delusion, right and wrong, does not exist in its nature. Therefore, it is believed that abandonment and antidotes should be equally transformed into the path without any basis. The third, the mind that collapses the source of reasoning, is: because the fundamental nature of mind has no object of grasping, the mind that arises from its state has no source, therefore there is no object of grasping at all. Therefore, for it, all phenomena of appearance and discrimination are originally liberated in the state of non-appearance and collapse of the source, therefore karma...
