If one can distinguish these meanings, one will realize emptiness. Thus it is said. These tantras, each explained from the perspective of the connection and summarization of their meanings, are self-arising and self-liberating. The three without letters are the three essential points of the tantras, like the gathering of a king and his subjects. The two, jewel-inlaid and mirror, totaling three, are the three essences of the tantras, seeing the meaning of all tantras, like reaching the summit of Mount Meru. Pearl Garland, Lion's Perfect Strength, and Auspicious Beauty, three, because they clarify the profound meaning of all tantras, are like three flowers, like three suns rising together. The Perfectly Self-Arisen Tantra is the one compilation of all tantras, like the foundation stone of a castle. Introduction Adorned is because the example and meaning are clear, so appearance is perfected from the depths, like a lamp on the top of a castle. Sun and Moon Union is liberated in the bardo, so it is wisdom repelling, like creating a skylight. Treasure Pile and Burning Corpse are supplementary branches that complete the incomplete parts of the tantra, like a parapet. Burning Lamp is because the practice is clear, so it is the tantra of yogic liberation, like a king sitting on the top of a palace. The Six Spaces is like the heart because it directly shows the intention, and because it does not allow the army of conceptualization to enter, it is like a closed door. Decisiveness is that one's own established view is clearly explained and cannot be shaken by the arguments of others, so it is the secret self-doctrine, like an iron wall. Black Wrathful Mother is like a weapon because she cuts off opponents, like a spear-wielding, helmeted gatekeeper. Thus it is said, in the Pearl Garland it says: If you know the three essential points of the tantra, it is like the gathering of a king, minister, and subjects. If you know the three essences of the tantra, it is like reaching the top of three mountains. If you know the three flowers of the tantra, it is like three suns rising in the sky. If you know the one compilation of all tantras, it is like the corner stone of a castle being firmly erected. If you know the tantra of appearance perfecting from the depths, it is like a completed castle. If you know the tantra of wisdom repelling, it is like creating skylights in four directions. If you know the two great branch tantras, it is like placing parapets on the four walls. If you know the tantra of yogic liberation, it is like placing a king on the top of a castle. If you know the tantra that is like the heart, it is like tightly closing that door.

If one recognizes the self-originated tantra, it is like being surrounded by an iron fence. If one recognizes the tantra as a weapon, it is like a gatekeeper with armor. So it is said. The order and meaning of those tantras are also determined from there. Among them, the order of the tantras is: The two fundamental great tantras, which state that all dharmas are of one essence. The two explanatory tantras, mother and son, explain it as the manner of flourishing leaves. The two branch tantras explain it as stars rising in the ocean. The two tantras that clarify reason and scripture explain it as the manner of flowers blooming. The four classes of instruction tantras explain it as the manner of fruits ripening. The three mind-abiding tantras explain it as the manner of the seeing eye. The two entering self-liberation tantras explain it as the manner of the heart, the basis of memory. The ritual tantra of the wise explains it as a dog seeking food. So it is said. Among them, relying on the twenty-five chapters of the Root Tantra of Perfected Spontaneity, those who delight in elaboration are ripened by the power of external embellishments. Relying on the six chapters of the Wordless Tantra, the essential points of the instructions that liberate those who are already ripened are completely revealed, thus the two fundamental great tantras state that all dharmas are inseparable in essence. Relying on the eighty-six chapters of Self-Arisen Awareness, the subjects of the four: view, meditation, conduct, and result, are clearly distinguished. Relying on the nine chapters of Self-Liberated Awareness, special distinctions are made. Thus, the two explanatory tantras, mother and son, explain it as the branches and leaves of a tree flourishing. Relying on the five chapters of the Heap of Jewels, the qualities are shown to be naturally complete, and the signs are shown by the burning of the body. The two branch tantras explain it as stars rising in the ocean. Relying on the six chapters of Sound Transformation, it is shown to be the root of all the collections. Relying on the seven chapters of Auspicious Adornment, the method of reversing delusion is identified. Therefore, the two tantras that clarify reason and scripture explain it as the manner of flowers blooming. The eight chapters of the Vajrasattva Heart Mirror Tantra show the introduction, empowerment, and the instructions on vows. The seven chapters of the Samantabhadra Mind Mirror show the distinction between error and obscuration. The three chapters of Adorned Introduction show the generation of confidence in example and meaning.
