and evil schemes, and the offering of cows and other animals, which proclaims a violent nature as Dharma. It is free from six evil treatises devoid of love, possesses the great meaning of achieving temporary happiness and ultimate liberation, and the three treatises that accomplish enlightenment and abandon all the sufferings of samsara are in accordance with the tradition of the Buddhas. The ways of expressing these meanings are: treatises that gather scattered things together, reveal hidden things, extensively explain various terms, indicate difficult points, clarify the order of words, briefly explain the meaning of words, and divide the upper and lower sections, etc., with countless orders. They are divided into chapters, detailed explanations, collections, and sections, and in the order of prose, verses, mixed forms, and continuous forms, the different categories of texts are clearly presented as small, medium, large, and great. Thus, the Buddha's teachings are clearly elucidated, and the Buddha's words are most clearly revealed, divided into four In terms of etymology: The "Sha" of "Shatra" with the suffix "Sa" means to tame; the "Tra" with the suffix "Ya" means to protect, that is, possessing the qualities of taming and protecting. As it is said in the Commentary on Reasoning: "Because it possesses both taming and protecting, it is a great treatise." Thus it is. The necessity is: to clarify the meaning of the Buddha's words that are firm and difficult to understand, and to show the path to liberation, thereby guiding beings. As it is said in the commentary: "The meaning of the Buddha's words is clarified, and it has the meaning of entering liberation. The treatise is very vast, and it is respectfully accepted by the wise." Thus it is. The difference between the Buddha's words and the treatises is that: whatever teaching of Dharma arises from the self-cause of the Buddha, and possesses the excellent path of accomplishing the two benefits, that is the Buddha's word. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: "Whatever is meaningful, closely related to the Dharma,
