Dwelling in the womb, from the union of sun and moon, the non-abiding wisdom is self-purified, the light beyond color is the stainless white, self-purified, not appearing in any manifestation. The yellow, abiding without seeking, is self-purified, not appearing as an object. The red, without attachment, is self-purified, this awareness not appearing as an object of knowledge. The green, free from action, is self-purified, transcending all actions. The unchanging, vast blue is self-purified, awareness not established in any essence. This is both the arising and ceasing place of all lights. That is, at the time of the initial realm manifestation, the present path manifestation, and the bardo's self-manifestation, from this, the five lights emerge outward, and at the time of the decline of the present, bardo, or ground manifestation, these five dissolve into their essence. In short, what abides as the inner body and wisdom, and appears as the outer body and wisdom, is both the arising and ceasing place. Second, the five lights that hold color are: From self-arising, light arises from wisdom; because wisdom is unchanging, blue arises. Because wisdom is pure, white arises. Because qualities arise from wisdom, yellow arises. Because wisdom is perfectly empowered, red arises. Because wisdom perfectly accomplishes activity, green arises. It abides in the same way in all sentient beings. As the former says, the self-manifest clarity, the lights that hold color, are five: white, yellow, red, green, and blue. Fourth, there are three bindus: From the union of sun and moon, there are three bindus: the bindu that holds the ground, the bindu of the path of appearance, and the bindu of self-ripening fruit. The first is that in the center of the heart, the spontaneously accomplished bindu of the five lights, abiding within the clarity of the light channels, appearing as the circumference of the five lights, is called the bindu of the nature of light. Adorned with the awareness of primordial purity, it is called the bindu of Samantabhadra. As it says, there are two bindus that hold the ground: the bindu of the nature of light and the bindu of Samantabhadra. This is called the indestructible bindu in Guhyasamaja, and the unchanging bindu in Chakrasamvara. As the root tantra says: The one bindu that always abides in the heart, without change, should be meditated upon.

For those who are diligent, wisdom will surely arise, as it is said. Secondly, regarding the bindu of the path, there are two. As stated in the "Union of Sun and Moon": The bindu of the path of appearance are two: the bindu of the conventional cause and the bindu of abiding ultimate reality. The first has already been extensively explained, but to explain it briefly, as it says in that same text: The bindu of the conventional cause abides within the channels of all sentient beings, appearing as the father's cause and the mother's condition. That is, the essence of the elements gathers to become the mother's red bindu; the essence of all bodhicitta gathers to become the father's white bindu. Therefore, the elements gather and mature into form; bodhicitta gathers and matures into memory, thought, feeling, and awareness. Also, for those born miraculously, from eggs, and from heat and moisture, the seed of the gathering of elements and the seed of the gathering of bodhicitta are naturally complete, and they take birth itself. Thus, all sentient beings naturally possess the white and red bindus that gather the body. Furthermore, the seed of the elements of males is covered by the nature of the elements, so it does not appear; the seed of bodhicitta of females does not appear because its basis does not change. Therefore, the bliss of females can be meditated upon, but liberation is not attained by meditating on the bindu and wind alone. Thus, since the two seeds serve as the basis of the aggregates, the life-sustaining activity of males is also done by these two. The enemies of the elements themselves cause sudden activity. Those whose elements gradually exhaust their strength are caused by these two moving from their places, as it is said. The bindu and the seed of the elements of males are separate. The seed is the initial cause, the present basis, and ultimately, it causes the life-sustaining activity by moving. That is, the essence of the "Hum" (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) at the top of the right channel, at the crown of the head, is not actually visible. The essence of the elements of females, the lower tip of the single vowel, abides in the form of "A" (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) in the center of the wheel of the dakinis in the secret place, so it is not visible. The basis for the actual descent of the bindu is also done by these two. It is the seed of the bindu and the gathering of the essence of the elements.
