Then, it would become the fault of being without inherent existence. Furthermore, is that which is not differentiated in essence transformed? Or is something else transformed? If the essence is transformed, then the essence cannot be the basis, because it is a dharma other than the basis that is transformed. If something else is transformed, then the commitment to transform the essence into anything at all is broken. Furthermore, is the permanent transformed? Or is the impermanent transformed? The permanent cannot be transformed, like space. The impermanent does not need to be transformed, because it has already been transformed. Furthermore, according to the reasoning of the three times, the past and future cannot be transformed because they are non-existent. The earlier part of the present has ceased, and the later part has not yet arisen, so it is non-existent. Since the object to be transformed is not specified, it is unreasonable to think that anything can be transformed. As it says in the text itself: "Previously it was said that it can be transformed, if one's own state can be transformed, then this is also uncertain. Because the result turns into the cause, all efforts are unnecessary. Because it reverses again and again, just as material things cannot be transformed by wisdom, is this not something to be known?" What was said is also the same. The fifth point is to state the assertion: Because the essence of wisdom shines everywhere without bias, anything can be accepted. The second point is to refute it: Does this acceptance of anything accept that it exists on that basis? Or does it not accept that it exists? If it is the first case, then the permanent and impermanent will both be established simultaneously, because the impermanent exists only as an appearance. If the impermanent is established, but the permanent is not established, then the statement that anything can be accepted is broken. Similarly, samsara will be liberated effortlessly, and those who are liberated will regress, because anything can be accepted. If it is the second case, then there will be endless faults, such as accepting that the horns of a rabbit and the child of a barren woman can create samsara and nirvana, etc. As it says in the text: "Previously the Teacher said that one is endowed with all acceptances, this is merely the attraction of all sides, because everything is to be proven as true. Because it will turn into endless faults, is this not something to be known? What the Teacher said is the same as before." The sixth point is also to state the assertion: It is thought that because the essence shines everywhere, various colorful appearances will arise. The second point is to refute it: Does this variety refer to external appearances? Or does it refer to internal consciousness? Or does it refer to the combination of the two? If it is the first case, then the various appearances

According to the first view, there is also the fault that the single basis manifests outwardly as various things. According to the second view, just as consciousness is momentary, the basis would also become momentary; just as consciousness is like many thoughts and discriminations, the basis would also become like that; just as consciousness is subject to the influence of afflictions, the basis would also become like that. According to the third view, the basis would become internal and external, the basis would become the apprehended and the apprehender, and the basis would become the six aggregates and what is to be abandoned as one. Furthermore, it is not reasonable for the basis to be a single sphere, because it is a collection of many things. The faults of these and so on, in the "Six Spaces" it is said: "The Teacher said above that it is variegated, this also does not agree with the tenets, whatever the essence of that appears, the fruits are different but the meaning is the same, because it is weakened by the sound of many, is this not knowable?" What is said is also the same. The seventh view also states the assertion that the spontaneously arisen wisdom of rigpa is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, therefore it is not even established as mere wisdom, from the aspect of the great expanse free from elaboration, it is considered not established in anything. Secondly, refuting that, if it is not established in anything like that, and there is not even mere wisdom, it is primordially pure, and there is no state that can be established anywhere, then it contradicts the sphere in which samsara and nirvana arise. If there is no wisdom, then there is no liberation for Buddhas and sentient beings, therefore it is not reasonable to be liberated from realizing the basis. If there are no subtle five lights, then there is no cause for the basis to appear, therefore it is not reasonable for the basis to appear from its state. Sentient beings who are deluded by non-realization are also not reasonable, because in the "Sixth Space" it says: "Because the essence is primordially pure, therefore the samsara of sentient beings is not reasonable, because the defilement of ignorance is primordially exhausted." Therefore, it is the same as the previous six bases. Thirdly, establishing the basis of primordial purity and spontaneous perfection as inseparable as one's own tenet, there are two parts: the actual meaning and refuting the objections to it. The first part is that the essence is primordially pure, and spontaneous perfection exists in depth and clarity, therefore the essence of the inseparable part, the rigpa of primordial purity, is not established as an entity or characteristic. The self-nature of spontaneously perfected clear light, subtle, abides in inner clarity, the essence of appearance is emptiness, the self-nature of emptiness is clarity, the essence of clarity is rigpa, that is, kaya and jñana are primordially inseparable, abiding like the essence of the sun. The essence is primordially pure, the self-nature is spontaneously perfected, it is considered inseparable. In "Self-Arisen" it says: On the basis there are various
