Here, some who are ignorant and have heard little say: It is unreasonable to lead the six realms from lower to higher. If one can lead, it is enough to lead to the Buddha's pure land. Then, in the Tantra of Purification, it is also unreasonable to explain the mantra for purifying the sins of the six realms and to show the path to Sukhavati, because it is enough to achieve Buddhahood. It is also unreasonable for Bodhisattvas to ascend from lower to higher levels and practice, because if one can ascend, it is enough to go to the Buddha's land without practicing those levels. To this, they argue: The lower obscurations are not purified, so one needs to purify them sequentially and be born from here to Sukhavati and so on. Then, here too, it is reasonable to purify the lower deeds through rituals and transfer upwards, and to gradually progress upwards in this way, thus showing the similarity. Therefore, if one thinks that there is only one teaching and nothing else, it is a sign of ignorance. One should know that the categories of Dharma are limitless, and the methods and desires are endless. Secondly, showing the divisions of the supreme distinction has two parts: the yogi's way of dying and the way the elements dissolve. The first, from the three bases, the very last of the lowest continues into the bardo, exhaling the last breath, so at the time of death, it is almost the same as ordinary people. The middle one is dying without external causes, such as dying unknown to others in the snowy mountains, caves, or empty valleys, like wild animals or lions. Those who are not harmed by external causes die in hotels, near villages, or on the side of the road, like beggars. They also do not contemplate the signs and omens of death, and do not calculate when and where they will die, like a child dying. The best, the particles of the body dissolve, so there is no corpse at the time of death, like a dakini dying. For the purpose of entering another body, the sky is filled with light, and one vanishes into light, like a vidyadhara dying. Or like a fire burning out firewood, one dissolves into the light body. Or like a pore merging with the sky, and the sky merging with the sky, the body vanishes without any trace, there are four types. These people, at the time of death, because the Dharma is exhausted, there is no need for instructions, because their awareness has gone to the ground of primordial purity, and the simultaneous disappearance of the aggregates without support. In the Union of Sun and Moon it says: The yogi should contemplate in this way, the very last of the senses continues into the bardo, for example, a lame...

Just like that. Similarly, those of medium faculties, the way of dying like a wild animal, is the way of dying of a yogi. Just like a lion, and like a beggar, and like dying as a small child, is the place of death for a medium yogi. Like the way of dying of a dakini, and like the way of dying of a vidyadhara, like a pile of fire naturally burning out, and like disappearing into the sky, all of these are the natural exhaustion of the elements, like this non-appearing and non-grasping, is the realm of activity for the superior faculties, habituating to this one finds natural power. By knowing these at the time of death, one knows the characteristics of the transformation of body and mind. For the yogi who abides in this way, there is no need to examine the causes of death, whether they are present or absent. Likewise, completely free from fear, free from the extreme of attachment to the body. Even with view and meditation, there is no benefit or harm for the one who possesses yoga. Since there is no result of harm without benefit, there is also no place to abide in this. Free from the ripening of cause and effect. Therefore, it is enough to become accustomed to this. Self-arisen, self-liberated, the realm of unborn, before time changes, appearances change, spontaneously accomplished, dissolving into the realm of primordial purity. Separated from the extremes of hope and fear. After the extremes of cause and effect are exhausted, the realm of primordial purity, the indivisibility of space and wisdom. Therefore, it is enough to realize this meaning. Unfabricated, spontaneously perfect, Great Perfection. Thus it is said. The second is the individual dissolution of the body's five elements, of the four elements of outer, inner, secret, and completely perfect, of which the outer is the way of dissolving the outer elements up to the dissolution of earth, water, fire, and wind. The dissolution of the five spaces is at the time of the inner elements. The dissolution of the five vitalities is the secret element. The dissolution of the remaining twenty winds is the completely perfect element. Previously, the five elements of one's own body were divided into twenty-five groups, and the twenty-five separated from the winds are the order of dissolution at this time. Thus, dying by gradually gathering the elements is called dying without conditions. It is called the way of dying that approaches peace. Dying suddenly after being struck by floods, weapons, planets, etc., is called dying with conditions. It is called the way of dying of a Bodhisattva. Although the order of these is not clearly explained, it should be understood by comprehending the meaning of the scriptures, as it says in Self-Arisen: Alas!
