Because of spontaneous accomplishment, there is no purity from the very beginning. The way of abiding as taught by the Teacher, cannot be expressed by any words, it is separated from the sound and words that can express it, because it is not established in any nature, so words do not harm it. Thus. Third, in general, showing the way the plan descends, the original basis of the primordial realm has three: essence, nature, and compassion. Essence, nature, and self-nature, primordial purity and spontaneous accomplishment, the one essence is divided into eight when distinguished from different perspectives. When it arises as the basis appearance from its essence, it is called the common basis in terms of being the basis of both liberation and delusion, it is called the basis of liberation because it is the basis of liberation, and it is called the basis of delusion because it is the basis of sentient beings' delusion. The one essence of the basis appearance, when divided from the perspective of liberation and delusion, abides as three. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: Essence, nature, compassion, and, essence, nature, self-nature great, primordial purity and spontaneous accomplishment, common basis and delusion basis. Thus it says. In its extensive explanation it says: Essence primordial purity is beyond expression, nature spontaneous accomplishment all appearances are complete, compassion is all-pervasive self-arising. Essence arises from power, nature unmade all appearances, self-nature pervasive vastness all-encompassing. Primordial purity is self-pure from defilements, spontaneous accomplishment arises from various kinds, common basis appears to be established. Thus it says. These are also important keys to the self-nature of the basis, realize them with the eye of wisdom. Second, explaining the original basis of primordial purity separately, there are three: recognizing the way of abiding of the essence, extensively explaining its nature, and reversing the basis of delusion on the aspect. The first is self-born wisdom, the dharmakaya of original emptiness, the ultimate truth of the dharmadhatu, the abiding way of the luminosity of dharmata, samsara and nirvana, happiness and suffering, existence and non-existence, right and wrong, liberation and delusion, awareness and unawareness, etc., none of these are established. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: In the primordial purity of the very beginning, it is not possible to say even just delusion, likewise what is non-delusion? Therefore delusion is originally non-existent. Thus it says. In the Secret Wordless Tantra it says: Self-born wisdom has no object to be used, there is no past, there is no future, there is no present appearance, there is no karma, there are no habitual tendencies.

There is no ignorance. There is no mind. There is no intellect. There is no wisdom. There is no samsara. There is no nirvana. Even awareness itself does not exist. There is nothing that appears as wisdom. This is also called pure from the beginning, pure from the first, pure from the origin, pure from the very beginning, pure from the primordial. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: When "ཀ་(ka,Devanagari: क,IAST: ka,literal meaning: ka)" first arises, the number of pure and stainless qualities is exhausted. Thus it is said. Secondly, explaining its nature in detail is twofold: explaining it as the two wisdoms and the three wisdoms. The first is: Since awareness has no substance, relying on the inseparability of awareness and emptiness, the wisdom of the essence, which is pure from the beginning, is free from conceptualization, and the wisdom of the nature, which is spontaneously accomplished, abides in the clear original radiance. As it says in the Six Spaces: The essence itself is pure from the beginning, and the nature is spontaneously accomplished. Thus it is said. In terms of essence, it transcends the extremes of existence and non-existence, and in terms of nature, it abides only in the aspect of the basis of manifestation. These two, being inseparable in their own nature, abide in the great perfection that liberates from extremes, as it says in Self-Liberation of Awareness: The stains of the four extremes are naturally purified. Thus it is said. Explaining it as the three wisdoms is twofold: briefly indicating the essence and explaining the nature in detail. The first is: As it says in Self-Arisen: That basis of great original purity also possesses the three: essence, nature, and compassion. Thus it is said. As it says in Refutation: Since samsara and nirvana do not abide, the nature of reality, emptiness, pervades all, and wisdom abides in its own nature, it is inseparable in the manner of the three. Thus it is said. As it says in the Six Spaces: Wisdom itself, in three ways, verbally indicates the difference of the basis. Thus it is said. As it says in Vajrasattva's Heart Mirror: You should know all the dharmas of the basis as the three: essence, nature, and compassion. Thus it is said. The second, the way of abiding of the three: essence, nature, and compassion, is threefold: According to the view of this unsurpassed secret, the Dharmakaya abides in the form of the essence that is pure from the beginning, therefore the three kayas abide in the basis of manifestation that is inseparable, but there is not even a little bit of the faces and hands that are characterized by signs and features. The nature abides as the clear five lights, therefore the three radiances are self-luminous from the beginning, but there are no things that are established separately with color characteristics. Compassion abides as the wisdom of awareness, therefore the aspect of knowing is uninterrupted and clear separately,
