Because there is nothing else, it is called liberation, and the only thing is awareness itself. Moreover, because there are no separate dharmas that are not self-awareness. The scriptural basis is, from the Essence of Gold: "The mind itself that is solely liberated, is the unity of many." The logical basis is, the liberation of knowing one and all can be established, because knowing one awareness liberates all of samsara and nirvana. The way of liberation is, recognizing the nature of reality liberates all appearances and awareness. For example, if the taste of one salt is determined, then the taste of all salts is determined, like knowing the unity of many tastes. Thus, these five ways of liberation are not considered for one person, but because of the differences in faculties, each liberates in the way they prefer. Third, summarizing the meaning by determining the meaning through examples, there are three: being free from dependence, determining the example, and showing the meaning to be complete. First, the five ways of liberation are free from dependence, self-liberation is the self-liberation of all conditions by conditions, therefore it is free from dependence on the object of focus, view, meditation, and the dharma of conduct. Original liberation is the liberation of all objects by objects, therefore it is free from dependence on the union of grasping and being grasped. Instantaneous liberation is the liberation of the essence by the essence, therefore it does not depend on the two, samsara and nirvana. Ultimate liberation is the liberation of all dharmas by dharmas, therefore it does not depend on the words of terminology. One liberation is the liberation of mind itself by mind itself, therefore it does not depend on the indicative intellect. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: "Because all conditions are liberated by conditions, I do not depend on the object of focus. Because all objects are liberated by objects, I do not depend on the two, grasping and being grasped. Because the essence is liberated by the essence, I do not depend on the two, samsara and nirvana. Because all dharmas are liberated by dharmas, I do not depend on terminological words. Because mind itself is liberated by mind itself, I do not depend on the indicative intellect." Second, determining the example, self-liberation is the liberation of original purity (藏文:ཀ་དག་,梵文天城體:,梵文羅馬擬音:,漢語字面意思:) by the awareness of original purity, like washing away dirt with dirt. Original liberation is like destroying poison with poison. Instantaneous liberation is like cutting iron with iron. One liberation is like breaking stone with stone. Ultimate liberation is like burning wood with fire from wood. As it says in that same tantra: "Like washing away dirt with dirt, likewise, purity liberates purity. Destroying all poisons with poison.

Thus. Just as iron cuts iron, stone breaks stone, and wood burns wood. Each one's enemy is made by oneself. Liberation is not achieved by different kinds. Thus. Third, regarding the way of completion of meaning, for primordial liberation, appearances, basis, and objects are all primordially complete. For self-liberation, the basis of delusion, the path, and the knowable are all complete in their own place. For one liberation, the result, causes and conditions, and the nature of phenomena are all complete in their own place. For ultimate liberation, samsara and nirvana, tantras and agamas, and timelessness without limit are complete. For direct liberation, instructions, meditation, result, and the dharmadhatu are all complete in their own nature. As the Garland of Pearls says: Therefore, in the awareness that abides as the basis, since it is self-arisen, appearances are complete. Since it is self-originated, the basis itself is complete. Since it is self-appearing, objects are also complete. Since it is self-liberated, the basis of delusion is complete. Since it is self-pure, all paths are complete. Since it is self-knowing, the knowable is complete. Since it is self-pervading, the result is complete. Since it is in its own place, causes and conditions are complete. Since it is self-realized, the nature of phenomena is complete. Since it is self-returning, samsara and nirvana are complete. Since it is self-abiding, tantras and agamas are complete. Since it is self-complete, timelessness is complete. Since it is self-knowing, instructions are complete. Since it is self-established, meditation is complete. Since it is self-created, the expanse is complete. Thus. Thus, la bzla ba, 'gag bsdam pa, and chings su bcings pa, these three are the key points of trekchö of this Great Perfection, which are extremely profound, so the great master spoke for the sake of future generations. In short, as the Great Garuda says: The desire to abide in the basis is impossible in this mind. The ripened habitual patterns are without basis, on what do they rely? Just as there is no place for flowers to grow in the sky, without reliance or support. There is no place for mind in the body, habitual patterns cannot rely on anything. Thus, whatever is done is a friend of the mind, by what is there benefit or harm? Just as space cannot rely on substances and so on. The mind that is primordially vast, without bias or partiality. Samsara and the lower realms, on what are they established and appearing? Like untrue dreams, illusions, and cities of gandharvas. False appearances, the fruit of truth, are impossible here. Since there is no body or wisdom, on what do ignorance and other afflictions exist? Thus, la bzla ba. Abandoning the dharma that harms the mind that desires happiness. Self-established, independent, samsara
