Because the nature of reality is not seen, the meaning cannot be accomplished through the common vehicle. Because the three bodies are the appearance of the path, seeing this is not averting the three realms. All dharmas are equal in one taste, therefore the ground, path, and fruit are not interdependent. Thus it is said. The second has two parts: establishing the connection of the pith instructions, and explaining the pith instructions themselves that have a connection. The first is of two types: Trekchö and Tögal. From the tantra of Introduction Adorned it says: Effortless self-liberation is the measure, examine the boundary between Trekchö and Tögal. And from Dzogpa Rangjung it says: Trekchö and Tögal are self-abiding. Thus it is said. Furthermore, Trekchö is the key point for keen faculties, where the path is effortlessly self-liberated, taking the naked awareness into practice without relying on appearances, and lazy people attain Buddhahood without meditating. Tögal is liberation with effort, relying on the appearance of clear light, where diligent people purify into a physical light body in this very life and attain Buddhahood. From the Garland of Pearls it says: According to the differences in beings' minds, how should the stages be explained? Self-liberation is without effort, practice with effort. Those without effort are self-purified. Thus it is said. Second, explaining the pith instructions themselves that have a connection. Although there are very many ways to establish Trekchö, here, following the great Chinese master Shri Singha, the meaning is shown in three ways: Exhausting dharmas into the great original purity and averting, cutting off activity, nakedly and directly blocking, binding complete liberation into great equality. First, all dharmas included in samsara and nirvana are primordially enlightened in the expanse of the great perfection equal to space, so now decide not to do any effort or activity. In this way, all the various external appearing objects, all the environment and beings, appear but are empty of truth, and are primordially liberated in the eight examples of illusion. Moreover, illusion is boundless, groundless, merely an appearance, never existing, never not existing, never true, never false, groundless wandering abiding in original purity, so the dharmas of acceptance and rejection are not established as objects of focus. The inner appearing as the dharma of one's own mind is also not established as an object of arising, ceasing, and abiding, so it transcends the limits of grasping at an essence. For this mind, there is not even a dust mote of dharma to be viewed or meditated upon, so one does not focus on the dharma to be practiced or attained. Self-

Since the innate awareness, like the sky, does not need to be bound by the shackles of abandonment and antidote, now it is self-born, self-purified, relaxed, free, without interruption, and primordially pure. Because it is completely perfect without the defilement of fabrication, samsara and nirvana dissolve in the great namelessness, and the three realms are originally enlightened in the state of complete liberation, without deviating from the meaning of clear sky and vast expanse. No matter how the imputed appearances appear, they do not deviate from the nature of innate awareness, just as the manifestations of the four elements do not deviate from the dharmadhatu of the sky. One should understand the meaning of original dissolution. In the "Sixth Realm" it says: Emptiness has no elaboration of objects, clarity transcends the limits of existence and non-existence, it is free from the elaboration of many expressive words, it is not born from mantras, it is the self-nature of original perfection, completely free from causes and conditions, free from all defilements of view and meditation, without beginning or end, without clinging, without form, and without objects, without deities, and without mantras, without dharma, transcending all imputations, without enemies, and without friends, without a body, and without the appearance of senses, this dharma cannot be manifested by thought, there is nothing, and there is no clinging to anything, there is no self, and there are no attendants of the self, there is no dharmadhatu, and there is no body of innate awareness, there is no good, and there is no karmic result of sin, there is no life, and there is no thought of cutting off, there is no accumulation, and there is no object of accumulation, there is no Buddha, and there are no sentient beings, there is no place, and there is no emptiness itself, there is no method, and there are no attendants who listen to the dharma, there is no object, and there is no three times themselves, the aggregation of the three times does not exist, therefore, in the midst of nothing, all dharmas are not divided, and appear without division. Furthermore, as it is said in "Lion's Complete Power": The realization is the self-born primordial wisdom, which transcends the boundaries of realization and non-realization, let go of the discriminating mind of yes and no, the nature of phenomena, whether appearing or not appearing, is also free from the extreme of action and non-action, and from the primordial wisdom of emptiness, it transcends the boundaries of emptiness and non-emptiness, all imputed dualistic phenomena arise from the nature of the Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra Lion. Furthermore, as it is said in "The Mirror of the Mind of Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra": Without sentient beings, there is no name of Buddha, without clinging, there is no object of sentient beings, without conceptualization, there is no delusion of ignorance, without attachment, there is no object of conceptual thought, without attachment, there is no habitual mind, without the past, there is no name of the future, without the present, there is no name of affliction, without ultimate truth, therefore everything
