(ma bsgoms bltas pas drod tshad rnyed) 如是。

The arising of earth element ceases to be felt. By looking without meditating, the warmth is found. Thus it is said. Such meditation is named as the meditation of day and night union. Daytime is the part of Nirvana, and nighttime is the part of Samsara. At this time, the experience of meditation should be that there is no clarity in the day and no clarity in the night, and it is completely gone. Therefore, in the oral instructions, the method of the ocean remaining still is to meditate without closing the eyes and without moving. That is also the nature of tears, so when the ocean is kept clear, it remains still. Whatever you meditate on, keep your eyes as they are, and if you don't meditate, then don't meditate. Once you start meditating, the key is to look without closing your eyes. For example, in the ocean, the images of the sun, moon, stars, and so on appear clearly, but the ocean is not stained by them, so although they appear in the field of appearance, they cannot be grasped. Likewise, although these external appearances appear in front of the eyes in their own place, the awareness should not be lost on the appearance. Without the appearance stealing the awareness, the awareness shines clearly in its own place without conceptualization, and remaining without movement or effort is called the meditation of appearance and emptiness like the sky. From the one without letters: Unfabricated from the beginning, self-arisen stillness itself. Not transformed by appearances, not fabricated by the mind. If abiding in the sky, it shows the intention itself. The wisdom of the Dharmakaya, abandoning all thoughts. If there is no movement, it is the intention of meditation. If you do not grasp the objects of focus, Like the sun, moon, and stars appearing in the ocean. The ungrasping clarity, without interruption. That is the way to stay in contemplation. Thus it is said. From the Lion's Complete Strength: The Dharmakaya without conceptualization, separate from reality. Unfabricated self-clarity, the clarity of one's own Samadhi. In the state of non-grasping and non-conceptualization, everything is contained. Thus it is said. Avoiding the pitfalls, from the Uttaratantra: The meditation that does not go astray, Is when the doors of the senses are clear, The mind's conceptualization does not move, It is the mind that uses awareness itself, The very nature of not being lost to the outside. It is not holding onto the clarity of appearances, Nor falling into nihilistic emptiness, Nor is bliss without interruption, Nor is it abandoning into dullness, The clarity of mindfulness and awareness is rest, Nor is practice going into wrong paths, The grasping aspect easily moves inward, And the grasping aspect of clear forms, Colors, letters, transformers, If they do not fall into those directions, It is the meditation that does not go astray. Thus it is said. That is also awareness.
