Look at the appearances! The base's place and the path of going, The gate of ripening and the work of opening, The time and its extent of appearance. The essential instruction for its place is: Place, moving, and the path of going, Combine the ground of ripening and bindu. By doing so, by whomsoever it is done, Conceptual thought ceases and wisdom arises. Thus it is said. The necessity of wind is twofold: To perfect and generate the body of the world, And the past body, wisdom, And to become accustomed to the bindu itself, The body is pervaded by emptiness and clarity. The conceptual thought of the mind ceases, And non-conceptual wisdom arises, And outer appearances are exhausted, And wind and mind are mixed together, Therefore, wind performs all actions. Thus it is said. For a while, on the conventional bindu, By relying on it, desiring to become enlightened, The consort who has perfected the signs, Having definitely undertaken the practice of summoning, Perfect the body with the object of reliance itself, the channels, and so forth, And the objects of focus. Then the conventional bindu itself, Lowering, holding, and reversing, Planting in the channels and mixing with the wind, Making emptiness and cutting off with wisdom, Exchange the body and mind. Thus it is said. These should be understood for a while as practical instructions. Third, holding the mind of gods and humans is twofold: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is from "Lamp Illuminating": Holding the mind of gods and humans, holding various signs is, the key point of the body is the lotus posture, the key point of the breath is inhaling inward, the key point of awareness is the tip of the nose. Thus it is said. From "Self-Arisen": Holding the mind of gods and humans is, after the breath of the mouth and nose is restrained, non-thought merges into the mind, the nature of awareness focused on one point, is said to be without temporary conceptual thoughts. Thus it is said. The second is twofold: training in coarse objects of focus and subtle objects of focus. The first is holding the mind on the objects of each of the six consciousnesses: form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharma, whatever conceptual thought arises, let it arise, and without being distracted from that state, remember it directly, identify the interval between the before and after, and meditate, that is, on whatever arises from the objects of the six consciousnesses, awareness directly holds on to it. Also, "Tal Gyur" says: The key point of practice is this, the object of focus itself and the place of thought, the object of focus, sound, smell, taste, and touch, after practicing the five desires, Form is color.

Shapes and so on, various crafts and arts, and all kinds of magical illusions. Sounds are the lute, buzzing, stringed instruments, clay drums, flutes, and panpipes and harps, etc. Scents are fragrant mixtures, produced through harmonious and profound dependent origination. Tastes are six-flavored sugarcane, and various mixed wines, transformed through the combination of dependent origination's limbs. Touch is the wise combining on a throne, the combination arising from crossed bows, and some leaves of trees, merely by touching, for the Dharma nature, it is the inseparable abiding of the mind. The mind is grasping and abiding, cutting off the root and chasing after things, searching between object and consciousness, are those scattered and lost. Thus it is said. Second is learning the subtle, which is learning the Dharma of the mind's object, a distinction of the six aggregates. This has two aspects: generally showing the categories, and identifying the essence of the occasion. The first is from the "Union of Sun and Moon Sutra": By focusing the mind on the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: A), the attachment to things is turned back to its own place. By focusing the mind on the deity of generation, the impurities of the body are purified. With the vajra song of speech, one satisfies its mind. By focusing the mind on the letter HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), the impurities of its speech are cleansed. Whoever holds the mind on RAṂ (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal meaning: Raṃ), all its things are purified. Whoever abides on the letter HA (Tibetan: ཧ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह, Sanskrit Romanization: ha, Literal meaning: Ha), all delusion is exhausted. Whoever abides the mind on PHAṬ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal meaning: Phaṭ), they abandon harm to body and speech. Whoever meditates on the bindu between the eyebrows, by this one becomes accustomed to the winds. Whoever holds the mind on the cause of the staff, they block the doors of the senses. Whoever meditates on YI (Tibetan: ཡི, Sanskrit Devanagari: यि, Sanskrit Romanization: yi, Literal meaning: Yi) at the tip of the nose, they gather the elements back to their own place. Whoever meditates on the self-light of the body's support, by this one becomes accustomed to the ground of the bardo. Whoever throws the mind into the sky, by this one becomes accustomed to emptiness. Whoever holds the mind in the ear, by this one enjoys sounds as desired. Whoever holds the mind in the heart, by this one makes thoughts return to their own place. Whoever abides in emptiness, by this one makes the attachment to things cease. Whoever meditates on emptiness hadapo, all memories become empty at once. Whoever joins the mind with non-thought, by this one reverses the attachment to samsara. If one holds the mind on the five elements, then the minds of the body arise. Whoever meditates on non-thought wisdom, by this one
