I abandon the bird's flight. From the burning lamp, all phenomena, visible and invisible, who knows they are without inherent existence? This is its characteristic. As it is said in the Madhyamaka: The characteristic of wisdom is that the wise do not gather the root of words, burn afflictions, karma, and habitual tendencies, and cut off the life force of maturation, samsara, and nirvana. Thus it is. There are five divisions: the wisdom of the fundamental abiding self-arising acts as the basis for all phenomena; the wisdom of directly grasping appearances directly realizes the expanse and awareness; the wisdom of uninterrupted mindfulness distinguishes clarity in equipoise; the wisdom of individual discrimination knows the general and specific characteristics; the wisdom of the three practices distinguishes the boundaries of hearing, thinking, and meditating. As the former says: There are five kinds of divisions, the fundamental abiding self-arising wisdom, acts as the basis for the body and other phenomena; the wisdom of directly grasping appearances, holds the mindfulness of the expanse and awareness; the wisdom of uninterrupted mindfulness, gathers the objects of single-pointed consciousness; the wisdom of individual discrimination, distinguishes the general and specific characteristics; the wisdom of the three practices, establishes the nature and bardo. Thus it is. The support is: all phenomena encompassed by existence, samsara, and nirvana, and their respective characteristics, rely on the knowable and the knower; and rely on the self-arising wisdom as being possessed and as being of one essence with the possessed dharma. As it is said in the Madhyamaka: The support of self-arising wisdom is, words and the discrimination of yes and no, tenets and views and meditation, and reliance on the nature of reality. Thus it is. The doors are: the five senses. As it is said in "The Lamp That Illuminates": The doors of manifestation are the five senses, manifesting from various differences. That is a sign at night, during severe coughing and numbness, and when coughing and wheezing very severely, a red and clear light, shines like sparks. By its measure and that sign, recognize the door of manifestation. Thus it is. Actual wisdom is the clarity in which consciousness cognizes objects, but without arising conceptualization, and on this basis, the five senses give rise to the five pure consciousnesses without conceptualization. Although the non-conceptual sense consciousness itself is mind, within it, the part of self-arising wisdom, which is clear, aware, and non-conceptual, does not cling to anything, and that is what is to be recognized.

It should be held. Similarly, the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating, when its own time is ripe, the element of wisdom that exists within it is identified here. Since it is not desired to be encompassed by conceptual mind, this point is crucial. Object: The object of self-nature, that is, the object that can be cognized, all dharmas and the nature of dharmas. As it says in the *Madhyamakāvatāra*: The object of wisdom is words and meanings, Those who desire the connection of words and meanings, Know by indication and speak by words, Indication is metaphor and symbol, Words indicate ultimately by speech, Speech knows the terms and, Identification, instruction, and, Repetition, analysis, and discernment. Location: Its essence resides within the four light channels of the heart and all the roots of the self-radiance of wisdom, pervading the body. Wherever it touches, it can be felt through awareness, because wisdom rides on the horse of wind. When self-nature is wrapped in the petals of the channels, wisdom becomes dim and unclear; when the channels are unobstructed and self-nature is integrated, wisdom becomes clear and intense. In short, its essence is in the heart, and its function is in the channels, running on the horse of wind. As it says in the *Lamp Burning Treatise*: In the four channels that generate, Flowing, moving, and trembling, In the nature of lightness and movement, The mandala of citta itself revolves. The essence of pure wisdom, Like the appearance of sparks rising, With the winds of the five and four actions, Awareness is clear and distinct, In the nature of all wisdoms, Pores and single roots all tremble, Inside the empty cavity of glass, Clear great wisdom dwells. In the primordial sound of the assembled base, In the nature of distinguishing all, It has always resided in the part of the body. Sometimes, when the wind grasps itself, Awareness faints and becomes unconscious, All the functions of wisdom increase, The element of clarity disappears and becomes unconscious, When the wind generates the function of wisdom, Even the dharmas that were not heard before, Are remembered in the mind and appear clearly, Clear and unclear functions, Arise from the movement of the wind, It resides within the channels in the center of the body. So it is said. Measure: When the five wisdoms merge into their respective objects and reach the point of full measure, that is the ultimate measure. Again, as it says in that treatise: The measure of self-born wisdom at the base, When the experience of equality of all dharmas arises, Wisdom finds stable conviction, That itself does not change, Always.
