In terms of meaning, it inherently exists without separation. As stated in the "String of Pearls": The Dharmadhatu is vast and without limit, the Dharmata is pure in the realm, it arises from the edges of both, vast blue never changes, when the conditions of pure appearance meet, it will possess five colors. And so on. The characteristic is: the blue is vast, appearing as five kinds of light, residing within the scope of the realm of awareness. As stated in "Transcendence": The characteristic of the pure Dharmadhatu is, the two parts of the blue self-perfection, the perfection of method and wisdom, from the two edge parts, holding the two bodies, greatly appearing and expanding, all of these are also self-knowing perfection, showing the image of the all-pervading Bodhisattva, the light is drawn from the subtle, similar to the complete image of the mandala, showing the brilliance of all wisdoms, also showing the deep luster of light, is the gathering place of body and bindu. Thus, the body of complete wisdom, whoever sees this body becomes a Buddha, the three bodies are naturally liberated at the end, transcending the fence of the grasped and the grasper, Samsara and Nirvana are completely cut off. And so on. As stated in "The Blazing Lamp": Because speech and appearance are non-dual, there is no inside and outside, also in the Dharmadhatu, residing in its own vastness, without inside and outside, transparent and clear, without obscuration, without defilement, it inherently appears as great purity, in the completely pure Dharmadhatu, the characteristic inherently resides. And so on. There are three divisions: the base Dharmadhatu, the five lights spontaneously accomplished in one's own heart; the path Dharmadhatu, the self-light of the light channels of the eyes appearing; the Dharmadhatu appearing on the object, possessing blue and five colors. As stated in that same text: There are three types of divisions, the Dharmadhatu residing on the base, holds the wisdom of awareness as the body, the Dharmadhatu appearing on the path, gathers the essence of the bindu of awareness, the Dharmadhatu appearing on the object, imprisons the light threads. All of these are its divisions. The support is, as stated in "Transcendence": The support of the completely pure Dharmadhatu is, the space between the eyebrows and the sky itself, as well as light and bindu, etc., also relying on various bodies. And so on. The nature is, focusing on the appearance of the Dharmadhatu, with non-conceptual Samadhi, abiding in the Dharmadhatu, naturally realizing the view of the exhaustion of Dharmata.

Therefore, when the lamp is lit, the self-nature appearance is uninterrupted. All thoughts and memories are exhausted. The appearance is self-purified in the Dharmadhatu. In the non-conceptual awareness, one knows the unchanging equality. In the Dharmadhatu of all equality, it is originally and thoroughly exhausted, abiding in the self-nature pure Dharmadhatu. Thus it is said. The object is, in the empty sky, the five lights are self-illuminating. As the *Sudden Enlightenment Sutra* says: The realm of Dharmadhatu is emptiness, clear and unobstructed, emitting light, pervasive, vast, and unified. In the sky where dust is cleared, the equality and perfection of Dharma nature are pure. The radiance of the five clear wisdoms, the realm of clear light itself. Thus it is said. The previous sutra also says: If there is no this, there is no realm of awareness, therefore the appearance is not extinguished, the rainbow is the lamp of Dharmadhatu. Thus it is said. The view is, the previous sutra says: The self-realm of the Dharmadhatu's awareness arises, like a thread drawn from a scale. Thus it is said. The measure is, when the Dharmadhatu matures, four fingers above the eyebrows, when it appears, initially five colors arise from the blue color. As *The Lamp That Illuminates* says: In the unchanging appearance of blue, in the light of five colors, this also becomes extremely bright and transformed, above one's own front, four fingers or one cubit above, rising and separating from the body, that is its measure. Thus it is said. At this time, one can distinguish between samsara and nirvana, therefore one obtains the measure of not falling into samsara in the future. As the *Self-Arisen Teaching Tantra* says: Four fingers above, the fortunate person who is separated, how is it possible to fall into samsara? Thus it is said. There are three places, the outer place is the sky, the middle appearance place is the corner of the eye, and the inner fundamental place is the mind. The previous sutra says: The eye has no cause of arising, the abiding one is one's own awareness, appearing like an unbroken thread, holding onto the cloudless sky. When self-awareness is clear within, it abides in the center of the mind, spreading outward into the cloudless sky. Thus it is said. The door is, again, that sutra says: The door of this appearance also comes from the eye, appearing in the form of unchanging pervasiveness. Thus it is said. The substance is, in the vast light of the initial blue color above, in the five self-illuminating rainbow lights, a bindu lotus petal surrounded by a circular wall, is called the wall of Dharmadhatu, or the Dharmadhatu of rainbow light.
