It appears in various forms in its own nature. That is what it says. Nature is: the self-appearance of primordial purity, appearing naturally without being made by anyone. As it says in that very text: In the great primordial purity, such is the very nature, self-illuminating without being made by anyone, it is the very nature from the beginning. That is what it says. Measure is: the measure of being accustomed to appearing in the sky during practice. As it says in "The Blazing Lamp": When the thigle has no expansion or contraction, whoever grasps it in the intermediate space, that becomes its measure. That is what it says. Substance is: the red and yellow light that appears when the eyes are squeezed, filled with colors. Furthermore, the appearances of each of the six realms are as follows: Gods can be seen externally, among them, the desire realm gods are one cubit in their own height, the form realm beings are one bow in their own height. Asuras are of two types, those belonging to the lineage of gods have extremely bright rays, one hand in length; the others are small, four fingers in length. Humans are one thumb in length, animals cannot be seen beyond their own location. Pretas are small and thin, like a sesame seed. Hell beings see themselves as the size of a horse's tail or a very small sesame seed. As it says in "Self-Arisen": For all unenlightened beings, it can be exemplified by humans. Gods can be seen externally. Asuras are seen as small. Animals are only in their own place. Pretas are seen as thin. The hell realm is like a sesame seed. That is what it says. In "The Blazing Lamp" it says: The thigle of the five combined lights, the gods are one cubit in their own height. Round, self-luminous, and great. Asuras are one hand in their own height. Humans are one thumb in their own height. Round and without leakage. Animals are not visible externally. Pretas are small in their own appearance. Hell beings are only self-luminous. Gods appear mostly white. Asuras appear mostly green. Humans are red and clear, free from fabrication. Animals appear mostly blue. Pretas appear yellow. Hell beings have five colors. Abiding in the realm of self-luminous awareness. The substance of the lamp is just like that. That is what it says. In "Lion's Strength Perfected" it says: The Tushita gods are one cubit in length. The contentious ones are four fingers in length. The equal ones are one span in length. The twofold ones are only self-luminous. The hungry ones are the size of a sesame seed. The suffering ones are the size of a horse's tail. Thus it is taught that they abide. Thus, the Sambhogakaya Buddha.

The body of [deity] is immeasurable, Bodhisattvas abiding on the ground are measured by an arrow, and Nirmanakayas are measured by a fathom. For Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the two kinds of gods, if they are not shown in the self-appearing realm, to the five objects such as humans, they cannot be seen. Also, in the same scripture, it says: Buddhas are immeasurable, Bodhisattvas are measured by an arrow, the snake body abides in a fathom. Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Nirmanakayas and gods, appear in the manifest realm. If they are not shown to the five objects below these, they will not be seen. Thus it is said. For example, in the "Garland of Pearls" it says: Like the feathers of a peacock. And in "The Blazing Lamp" it says: Like the feathers of a peacock, similarly like tiny eyes, or like the eyes of a fish, or like the eyes of an animal thief, abiding like these. Thus it is said. The key to practice is, in the "Exceeding Measure Sutra" it says: Flickering the lamp of bindu is the key, the root and thumb and forefinger not separated, wisdom will increase. Thus it is said. In the previous same scripture it says: With one's own thumb and forefinger, squeeze the eye socket and corner, it will appear, have faith. Thus it is said. Third, regarding the extensive explanation of the lamp of the pure realm, there are fourteen aspects: essence, definition, characteristics, divisions, support, nature, object, purpose, measure, place, gate, reality, example, and key points. The essence is to make a definite object, as it says in "The Blazing Lamp": The lamp of the pure realm, gathers the essence of awareness, appearing as the enclosure of the Lugu lineage, whoever is familiar with this, the meaning is that itself. Blue, unchanging, self-luminous, abiding in the enclosure of the circumference, self-luminous appearing as the external object, the essence itself is uncreated. Thus it is said. The definition is, in the same scripture it says: In the appearance of the form as an object, purity exhausts the number of stains, making the self-object of the realm's awareness, the vajra itself is the Lugu lineage. This itself should be placed inside, one's own essence without concept, also within the scope of the inner realm, not grasping, not abiding, in a non-abiding manner, continuously appearing without connection. The lamp's vajra Lugu lineage, directly points to the sky itself, causing it to appear without inherent existence. The mother grasps its meaning, this is the definition of its nature.
