From the thirteen aspects of place, realm, gate, nature, measure, entity, example, and key points, the essence is that it abides in the self-illuminating, primordially pure, empty self-radiance, like a burning lamp. From "The Blazing Lamp," it says: The lamp of the empty thigle is the object of faith for all phenomena. Whoever knows this will enjoy the body of the thigle and attain the realm of practice for those who are accustomed. Therefore, its essence is: the only one, without parts, subtle, free from elaboration; emptiness, boundless, greatly self-illuminating; nature, self-illuminating, equality itself; non-conceptual, free from elaboration, abiding perfectly round; because it is uncreated, complete with the four freedoms; red, self-illuminating, primordially pure; without stain and primordially pure; free from self-grasping and afflictions; the self illuminates itself, the essence is empty; this is considered its essence. Thus it is said. The definition is: From "The Garland of Pearls," it says: Thigle is unchanging, Le pervades and appears in the realm, Emptiness, entities, without characteristics, The lamp dispels darkness and becomes manifest. Thus it is said. From the same previous text, it says: Thigle is unchanging, upright, From the beginning, it is free from fabrication. Le is vast, All appearances are complete in their own place. Emptiness, grasping at entities, Blocks the minds that cling to objects. The nature of great emptiness, In clarity, self-grasping minds do not appear. The lamp makes the five lights appear, Having done so, it has self-nature with clarity and awareness. These are definitive words. Thus it is said. The characteristic is: Any thigle of colored light that is self-illuminating, round, and free from pain. From the "Uttaratantra," it says: The characteristic of the empty thigle is: Round and its nature is all-illuminating, Red, clear, the light of a clear color, It spreads with elaboration. Thus it is said. From "The Blazing Lamp," it says: The characteristic is that emptiness pervades with clarity, The boundaries of the self-nature body are all exhausted. Thus it is said. The divisions are five: The empty thigle of the ground-basis awareness abides in the heart. The empty thigle of the body-basis channels abides in all the channels. The thigle of conventional cause abides in the roma channel. The empty thigle of ultimate, non-elaborate abides in the single channel. The empty thigle of self-arisen result abides in the eye. These also belong to the category of empty thigle because their self-nature is primordially empty, so it is only a division. In reality, it only transforms into two depending on the two eyes. From "The Blazing Lamp," it says: The divisions are five kinds, the ground

The bindu of one's own place, Unifies samsara and nirvana into one. The bindu of the body's place, the channels, Unifies happiness and suffering into one. The bindu of the conventional cause, The cause and condition for generating the aggregates and mind, Unifies the aggregates, elements, and so forth. The bindu of ultimate, non-elaborate reality, Unifies space and awareness into one. The bindu of the self-arisen fruit, The intentions of all Buddhas, Unifies into the space free from effort and striving. Thus it is said. The support is: the essence relies on the two, light and channels. Appearance relies on the five wisdoms. Aspect relies on the clear bindu. Movement relies on the self-abiding wind. Object relies on empty space. Place relies in the center of the eye. Source relies on the consciousness that determines seeing, that is: In Refutation it is said: The support of the empty bindu is consciousness itself and space, channels and wind and bindu, and relies on wisdoms. Thus it is said. The place is: the place of the essence, the heart. The place of sound, the two eyes. As it says in The Blazing Lamp: In the middle of the bodies of all sentient beings, in the precious palace of citta. Thus it is said. The object is: appearing clearly as the five lights, and the half-body arising from that, and the single body, and the father and mother, and the assembly, and the mandala, and the six appearances of the great mandala, and the emanation body from the enjoyment body, and the three radiating bodies of light from that, and the two peaceful and wrathful ones, and the aspect of the six Thubpas, all the space appearing as the object is clear with purity, warm with fire purity, cool with water purity, light with earth purity, and has the nature of moving with wind purity. That also says in Refutation: The object of the bindu is color, five and six and three one six, clarity and warmth and coolness, lightness and the nature of holding movement, the ultimate nature of reality arises. Thus it is said. And in The Blazing Lamp it says: Also clear in the object of the ear, returning from emptiness itself, in the appearance of the clear experiencer, also with the five primordial sounds, in the state of naturally abiding, also in the essence of the clarifiers, dwells separately from things. Thus it is said. The door is: In that it says: Not obscured by conditions, the eyes of sentient beings, from the door called eye (Sanskrit: Cakṣu), like the mandala of the sun, in its own light and rays.
