It is so. Third, regarding the view that the "ground" is the definitive ultimate reality, there are also three aspects. Among them, stating the view is: the essence is unchanging like the sky, and the appearances cannot be transformed like fire and water. Refuting this: if it is only unchanging, it would fall into the fault of asserting that the "self" is permanent, and of becoming one, and it would be impossible to be liberated through effort, because impure wisdom cannot be transformed into purity. If this is the view, then realizing the "ground" and practicing the path become unnecessary, and the fault of realizing the "ground" not being able to dispel confusion arises. As it says in the "Six Spaces": "The ground that is said to be definitive, this is also not the true essence, like a conch appearing yellow to those with yellow eyes, the difference of returning to one's own ground, self and other are free from fixed limits, therefore this is also not true. Or because the cause is fixed, the effect is also fixed, it becomes no different from the permanent self." Thus it is said. Summarizing the meaning of the refutation: here we do not think like that, the essence of realization is self-purifying, even if not realized, the nature is non-dual, therefore the nature of reality, which is pure from the beginning, is said to be unchangeable, but we do not accept that effort cannot purify. Fourth, regarding the view that the "ground" can be transformed into anything, there are also three aspects. Among them, stating the view is: the essence has no bias or limits, therefore it can be transformed into any state. Refuting this: if the reality can be transformed, then it would fall into the fault of not being reality, and the fruit that has already been liberated would regress into the cause, or the confused appearance of the cause would not change, the original clear and lucid self-nature would then be liberated, and would be exchanged with the previous past state, because it can be transformed into anything. If this is the view, then it would fall into the fault of being unnecessary, and of regressing, and of liberation being untrue, and phenomena and consciousness could be transformed into each other. As it says in that very text: "What was said earlier to be transformable, if one's own reality can be transformed, this is also the same without certainty, because the fruit regresses into the cause, all efforts become meaningless, because of regressing again and again, phenomena and sentient beings, cannot be transformed with nature." Thus it is said. Summarizing the meaning: one's own self is unchangeable, therefore it will not become other, confusion is purified in its place, and obtaining the position of self-abiding in the essence, this is called (the ground). Fifth, regarding the view that the "ground" can affirm anything.

Furthermore, there are three aspects to clinging to desire. Expressing desire is: the nature of all things appears as a rootless digression, therefore, one makes commitments to anything. Refuting it: if one can commit to anything, then just as there is no connection to things, there will be no connection to the basis. If one thinks so, then one will fall into the fault of not achieving the limit of no connection, and one will fall into the state of existence, non-existence, permanence, and annihilation, therefore, it is not suitable as the basis of reality. As it says in 'That Same': 'Those who are endowed with commitments, the teacher has previously said, all of this is just an extension of direction, in order to prove it in all things, it will become the fault of no connection.' Summarizing the meaning: Since it transcends existence, non-existence, permanence, and annihilation, there is no commitment whatsoever. From the perspective of symbolism, anything can be shown as an example of symbolism. Sixth, regarding clinging to the basis as diverse, there are also three aspects. Expressing desire is: the nature naturally arises in all things, therefore, various appearances appear. Refuting it: Since the basis is diverse, it will become many. Since it is not suitable as the basis of purity and liberation, even if one tries, the effort is meaningless. Since the many are infinite and endless, one will fall into the state of not being able to determine when to obtain and when to realize. Just as appearances change, the basis will also become changing. If it changes, then it is not suitable as a basis. Just as many thoughts flow in an instant, the basis will also fall into a state of confusion and affliction. As it says in 'That Same': 'The teacher previously said it was variegated, this is also unsuitable in any way. Whatever the nature of that appears, the fruits are different, the meaning is the same. It is ruined by the sound of many.' Summarizing the meaning: Here, we do not think so, because the nature is not established in anything, therefore, it is separated from the basis to be explained. The nature is liberated from the appearance, therefore, it is separated from symbolism. Reality is liberated from elaboration, therefore, it is separated from characteristics. Since the designation of name, symbol, and basis cannot be found, even though diverse plans do not cease, the way of being transcends faults. Since one follows the path, the originally pure, faultless self-view is shown, there are three aspects: identifying the nature of original purity, eliminating the faults of disputation against it, and generally showing the way the plans descend. The first is: the original purity of the primordial basis is the great transcendence of speech, thought, and expression, transcending the limits of existence and non-existence. The nature is pure from the beginning, therefore, it is separated from the limit of existence and permanence, separated from things and names.
