It is also said in the Tantras of Mong. In the Hevajra it says: In the body dwells great wisdom. All discriminations are completely abandoned. The one who pervades all things. The body abides, unborn from the body. And in the Sutra of the Great Nirvana of the Blessed One it says: Son of good family, for example, in the house of a poor woman there is a gold mine, but no one knows it exists. Later, a man skilled in means says to the poor woman: Woman, can you be hired to work where I sweep? The woman says: I cannot. If you can show me the gold mine hidden by my son, you can work. The man says: I am skilled in means, I know the gold mine hidden by your son, I will show it. The woman says: All the big and small in my house do not know, how do you know? The man says: I know without doubt. The woman says: I want to see it, show it to me. Then the man enters her house, digs out the gold mine and shows it to the woman. The woman sees the mine and is very happy, she has a wonderful and amazing thought, and she respectfully serves the man. Son of good family, the Buddha-nature of all sentient beings is the same, all sentient beings do not see it, just as a poor woman does not see a precious mine. Son of good family, I have shown that all beings have Buddha-nature, but it is obscured by all afflictions and cannot be seen, just as a poor woman cannot see a mine. Son of good family, the Tathagata also shows all sentient beings the precious mine of perfect enlightenment, which is the Buddha-nature. Individual ordinary people also see such things and develop great joy, and then approach and honor the Tathagata. The man skilled in means is an example of the Tathagata. The poor woman is an example of countless ordinary people. Gold mine

The so-called "Erer" is an example of Buddha-nature. Furthermore, the example of the giant's jewel was given first, saying: Son of lineage, thus the Tathagata also said that all sentient beings have Buddha-nature, just like a skilled doctor showing the giant's Vajra jewel. Son of lineage, within the bodies of all sentient beings are the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the thirty-two marks, and the eighty minor marks. Like this, it is widely proclaimed. The Uttaratantra also says: The complete Buddha-body is for the benefit of beings, and because of the inseparability of Suchness, and because of having lineage, all beings constantly have the essence of the Buddha. Also, in the Two Examinations Tantra it says: Sentient beings are Buddhas, but are obscured by adventitious defilements, removing them is Buddhahood. Also, in the Dohas it says: All the wise explain the scriptures, but do not realize that the Buddha is within the body. Also, in the Uttaratantra it says: Like a poor man in his house underground, there is an inexhaustible treasure, but the man does not know it, and the treasure does not say, 'I am here.' Likewise, the precious treasure contained within the mind, and the stainless, unestablished Dharma-nature, if not realized, then the suffering of poverty, beings constantly experience in various ways. Like this and so on, nine similes and nine meanings. Also, in the Avatamsaka Sutra, with the example of the three thousand great thousand worlds like silk, and so on, many sutras say that the continuum of sentient beings has the essence of the Sugata. Second, to dispel doubt about this, there are three: stating the doubt, dispelling it, and generating joy with special conviction. First, those who have not created roots of virtue in the past, and who have not met a true spiritual friend now, and who have not heard the profound Dharma of definite meaning, will say: The emptiness of mind itself is called Buddha-nature or Tathagatagarbha, how could it possibly have qualities such as marks, powers, etc.? Because in all the sutras such as the Prajnaparamita Sutra it is said that reality is selfless, like space, therefore the sutras that teach the Tathagatagarbha are provisional. If it is not like that, then it is no different from the eternal self of the Tirthikas, this is a definite principle.

It seems to turn away from the Dharma. The second point is: This way is not good, so for the time being, one should rely on the scriptures as a standard and abandon it. Why? Don't you know that among the three turnings of the Dharma wheel spoken by the Bhagavan, this last one is the Dharma wheel of definitive meaning? If emptiness alone is the ultimate truth, then how can the differences in the three turnings of the Dharma wheel be justified? Emptiness is taught provisionally, and this is also because of fear of reality and to eliminate the self-grasping of beginners. In the category of teachings of the 'Great Nirvana Sutra,' the example of a woman smearing her breasts with bitter juice to feed her child is given first: 'Son of good family, the Tathagata is also like that. In order to liberate all sentient beings, he teaches all sentient beings to practice non-self. Because of diligently practicing non-self, the mind of self-grasping will be eliminated, and thus Nirvana will be attained.' In order to eliminate the nihilistic view that arises from this, it is said to transcend the Dharma of nihilism. Furthermore, in order to show that the nihilists' clinging to self is incorrect, practicing the Dharma of non-self will transform into a completely pure body. Just as that woman smeared her breasts with bitter juice for the sake of her child, the Tathagata is also like that. In order to practice emptiness, he said that all dharmas are without self. Just as that woman squeezed out her breasts and called her child to feed him milk, my teaching of the Tathagatagarbha is also like that. Bhikshu, do not be afraid. Just as a mother calls her child to slowly drink milk, Bhikshu, you should also understand the distinctions. The Tathagatagarbha is not something to be eliminated.' Previously, when explaining the 'Prajnaparamita Sutra,' it was said: 'Whatever I have taught as the emptiness of all dharmas is taught in order to guide children away from clinging to self, but in reality, the Tathagatagarbha is the only ultimate truth.' This is not the same as the self of the non-Buddhists. The essence is originally clear and luminous and dwells in the body.
