Because the ways of the paths are different, the superior can understand the inferior, but the inferior cannot understand the superior. Therefore, the essential points of the Great Perfection of Self-Nature must be kept secret, because the wisdom of the inferior cannot contain them, which would lead to the degradation of the greatness of the Dharma and become a cause of sin for the inferior. The secret is the instruction in the treasury of the Buddhas, like a pile of jewels. These words should not be mentioned even a little bit among the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, etc. Why is that? Because when those people hear these words, they will be frightened, terrified, and faint. They will not believe in the secret mantras, and will become disgusted. Due to the maturation of that, sentient beings will experience great suffering in hell. What need is there to mention teaching and hearing? Do not even mention it in the direction of the wind. Vajra Speech asked: O Bhagavan, why do all those Shravakas and others act like that? The Buddha replied: The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, etc., have no fortune, and are not qualified to be vessels for the secret mantras, because their wisdom is small. For example, it is like stuffing a piece of cloth into the eye of a needle, which cannot be accommodated and has no chance to pass through. If it is taught to abandon clinging in this way, then what and what are the clingings? How should those and those be abandoned? In order to dispel the doubts in the minds of those who contemplate in detail, a detailed explanation is given as follows: That awareness that is liberated by being enlightened from the beginning, do not bind it in the box of the clinging mind. From the beginning, the space that is without place and completely pure, the space of great bliss equal to the sky, the root of the basis of enlightenment. There, samsara is impossible, it is the original state. The self-nature of awareness is free from elaboration, because it naturally abides in the pure nature of enlightenment from the beginning, so there has never been samsara, just like the sky. Therefore, it is taught not to bind it with the box of sudden conceptual thoughts. The box of Dharma is the greatest bondage of awareness, and although there are countless kinds, if summarized, they are the box of clinging to nominal words, the box of non-conceptual indifference, the box of clinging to actions and efforts, the box of clinging to appearances as real, the box of seeking true meaning from elsewhere, the box of clinging to the characteristics of emptiness and form, the box of losing the nature and holding onto emptiness, the box of scattered thoughts, and emptiness.

Om, like a box of mute stones, and a box of meaningless, painful contortions, and so on. From the Tantra of the Heap of Jewels: Then, The Teacher himself, in his own words of greatness, proclaimed with majesty: If all dharmas are not known as one taste, holding onto words and terms as true is like carrying a burden too heavy for the body. If the indivisibility of the expanse and awareness is not known, whoever meditates on a blank, unthinking state is like cutting into the middle of a mountain. If spontaneous arising and self-abiding are not known, whoever grasps at actions and efforts is like a painter's attachment to his creation. If self-originated and unceasing are not known, fixing appearances as truly existent is like a tree separated from its life. If the three bodies are not known as primordially complete, seeking definitive statements elsewhere is like searching for an elephant's tracks after they have been cut off. If the essential nectar of the heart is not known, demonstrating the self-radiance of awareness is like a dakini caught in a net. If immediate settling and self-liberation are not known, claiming to have realized the view is like a dwarf pretending to be a king. If the signs of warmth in body and speech have not increased, claiming to have realized the unborn is like wind in an empty valley. If one is not accustomed to the channels and bindus, claiming to have stopped deluded appearances is like a fingernail in a dark cave. If this unsurpassed tantra is not known, wanting to practice it is like entering a dangerous mountain path. So it is said. Explaining the meaning of these a little, all appearances and minds, within awareness, If the unborn, self-appearing, and groundless are not known as one taste, although one wishes to realize the actual nature of mind through the stages of the vehicle and the many distinctions of view and meditation, holding onto terms as real is like a burdened traveler wearied by his load, so it is blissful to abandon the dharmas of terminology. In the expanse of awareness, which is primordially pure and free from elaboration, if the self-luminous, clear, and naked awareness, the empty and clear, the non-dual, and the primordially connected are not known, meditating in a state of one-pointedness without thought will not stabilize the ground of reality, one will not see the nature of reality, and one will not cross the dangerous pass of grasping and fixation, like a person who cuts into the waist of Mount Meru hoping to sever it, so it is blissful to pull out the stake of clinging to the mind. If one does not recognize that awareness has its own natural contemplation, hoping to settle into meditation through the key points of body posture and wind-mind, it is like a painter to his own paintin
