Past desires have not been removed, future desires have not been cut off, and present desires have not been removed from their objects. This is the yogi of the equality of the three times. Past jealousy is not tightly grasped, future jealousy is not held in the mind, and present jealousy is not allowed to enter the mind. This is the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times, the yogi who realizes the non-duality of samsara and nirvana. The Buddha is awareness, the cutting off of the connection of the three times, without any fabrication. Then, when awareness arises, is there a contradiction between speaking of the qualities of self-power and abiding without conceptualization? Actually, they are very related. For example, when afflictions arise intensely, in the state of allowing them to arise as they arise, awareness nakedly appears. Recognize this, and without any fabrication, cut off the connection of the three times and abide without moving. In this way, the intention that does not stray from the nature of reality will naturally arise as self-born meditation. The abiding like a mountain king is: In the nature of reality where appearance and mind are self-born from the beginning, meditation arises unmoving like a stream. The essence of the vajra peak, the heart of Samantabhadra, the vast Dharma is equal to the edge of the sky. The essence of meditating on everything without discrimination, the king of original immensity is spontaneously accomplished. From the completion of the three methods of abiding, the abiding like a mountain king naturally arises. Just as the mountain king is immovable, one obtains the certainty that the intention does not stray from the nature of reality. That is to say, the essence of awareness is immovable from the beginning. When the yogi realizes this and abides in it, no external appearances can shake him. The external appearances themselves appear in that intention, illuminating awareness, like adding wood to a fire. From the unwritten it is said: The view of abiding like a mountain king is secret, not doubt, and movement naturally disappears. Thus, among the branches of the four methods of abiding, among the three samadhis, the great samadhi of vast illumination is: From the beginning, all-encompassing luminosity is like a stream. Spontaneously accomplished in this state of no letting go, the essence of the intention of the nature of samsara and nirvana, the dharmadhatu, is unmoving, beyond words, the great expanse equal to space. It is spontaneously accomplished for all beings from the beginning. Since all of samsara and nirvana are pervaded by awareness, and awareness is pervaded by self-nature meditation, therefore this intention is all beings'

Although it is constantly present, it is not realized. As it is said in the Kunje: The essence of non-conceptualization is not hidden in all lineages. The practices of non-grasping enlightenment are always naturally present. Like that. The method of meditating on that samadhi is to sit in the lotus position, fix the eyes on the space, and keep the mind without expansion or contraction, placing it in the essence of self-awareness and clarity. Then, all external appearances and internal movements will arise spontaneously, and the mind will not follow the control of the two, object and mind. As it is said in the Six Spaces: The samadhi of great expansion, for those who wish to meditate, in order to grasp the key of immutability, based on the posture of the body, the mind is thrown into the vastness of the sky. Likewise, the eyes are in the space, with the gaze of an elephant, placed in the great expansion of non-thought. Like that. The elimination of its deviations is: the mind that appears as other than oneself is a deluded mind, the desire to meditate and strive is a deluded mind, delusion is the realm of equality where the nature of reality is self-established, the space of unchanging, primordially pure nature, without doing or seeking, without placing or not placing. Here, placing the mind in the great expansion is not like having something to abandon or take. If one grasps it as being, it is a deluded thought. Therefore, that self-established state is carried into the space of the vajra essence, free from benefit and harm. Then, one will surely realize that the equality of placing and not placing are inseparable as one. As it is said in Self-Liberation of Awareness: In the essence of true awareness, there is no awareness of doing or acting. Grasping is the very cause of straying. Like that. The great samadhi of self-abiding is represented by the four names of view, meditation, conduct, and result, which transcend view, meditation, conduct, and result. The first is: In the unchanging, spontaneously accomplished nature of reality, with self-awareness free from object, thought, seeking, and anger, looking again and again, one sees that there is nothing to see. The non-seeing awareness is the view of universal pouring. Here, awareness in the essence of clarity and nakedness, without being distracted by the meaning of transcending the seer and the seen, is to be seen. As it is said in the Kunje: Alas! The teacher of teachers, the King of All-Creating, prophesied the meaning of the unerring view. In the essence of meaning that transcends exaggeration and denigration, meditating and not meditating are like arguing in the sky. Not being distracted by the meaning of realization is the view. It is neither a thing nor without a thing.
