arises. The appearance of the path to liberation for ordinary beings bound by samsara is the unique quality of this (teaching), which arises from the very foundation. As the Great Garuda says: "A path free from obscurations, resting in its natural state, without confusion, invisible, incomparable, the very essence of all wisdom. In illusion, grasping at objects, is itself without dependence. The nature of objects, unimpeded, is the trace of the essence. The realm of emptiness, without analysis, is liberated by resting in its own place." And: "The key to self-awareness being liberated without corruption; body, mind, and afflictions are its own qualities. Though they appear as prisons to ignorant children, resting in its own state, uncorrected, is genuine self-awareness. Primordially self-liberated, it cannot be destroyed by anyone. Since it is liberated in its own place without being untied, what need is there for effort? Primordially self-liberated, it is the very absence of a cause for liberation. Sinful actions and non-virtue are great friends to the ripening of bliss. The key is not seeking self-force, but being without effort. This itself is without support; who benefits from virtue? There is no Buddha, and whose prison is it that binds? Illusion and ignorance, who has them among sentient beings? There is not even a name. Therefore, there is no later liberation for what is primordially liberated." So it is said. This meaning, when accustomed to the truth of dharmata, is called a great spectacle in the mind. As it says in the Klong Drugpa: "The fortunate yogi who meditates on truth finds the jewel that no one has found. Its value cannot be measured. The person who encounters immeasurable wealth sees the appearance that no one has seen. This is a great spectacle of self-awareness. Thus, when the mind has a great spectacle, the fragments of phenomena are struck by a broom. Who cuts the fragments of phenomena? This grasps self-awareness with the hand. The person who is grasped in this way is enlightened even before the Buddhas. In the mandala of bliss, whoever is able to see it becomes the lord of all vidyas." So it is said. The fragments of phenomena are whatever arises, whatever appears. Being struck by a broom is self-illuminating thought. The hail of mixing pleasure and pain into one taste is: all pleasure and pain are the way awareness manifests. By grasping at acceptance and rejection, one is bound in existence. Just as it is unreasonable to grasp at acceptance and rejection of the two waves that arise from one water, it is unreasonable to grasp at pleasure as something to be accepted and suffering as something to be rejected from the awareness that arises from one rigpa, because attachment and aversion are the same cause of samsara. In the "Distinguishing Freedom," it says: All pleasure and pain are the magical display of awareness.

Faulty! To cling to acceptance and rejection is also a mistake. As it says in the Kunje: "Do not take pleasure, do not abandon suffering." Why is that? Whatever appears is merely the clarity of the object and the senses in their presence. Whatever arises is merely the tracelessness of mind and awareness. Both are equally fleeting, merely the bondage of negation and affirmation. In reality, they are equally profound, merely baseless appearances. All objects are equally diverse, but when examined, they leave no trace. All minds are equally present, but when analyzed, they are like the sky. Object and mind are inseparable, merely the purity of space. Thus, Who knows the lineage of Kuntuzangpo? The supreme son of the Victorious Ones, the Vidyadhara of the Joyful Ground. Thus, all knowledge that arises from the power of one's own awareness, such as happiness and suffering, good and bad, realization and non-realization, abides in the equality of the nature of reality. That is, when it arises in the object, the senses are equally self-luminous. The very arising vanishes like a ripple in water, which is also equal. By following after objects, the mind is distracted and bound, like a golden chain or fetters, which is also equal. In reality, because it is without foundation or root, everything is unestablished, so it is equally profound. Because it is traceless and naturally dissolves, its essence is equal in self-liberation. In reality, because it has never existed, its nature is equal. Because the basis of appearance is one in awareness, it is equal in playing in self-born wisdom. Object and mind are inseparable, and the clarity of appearance is equally diverse. Therefore, the object is not established externally, and the mind is not established internally. Realizing the nature of space is called holding the lineage of Kuntuzangpo, and abiding in the heart essence of the Vidyadhara due to good fortune. This is also for seeing the key point and abiding in the pure land of self-awareness and bliss. As it says in the Secret Essence: "Thus, those who hold the supreme lineage, the supreme guru and the supreme one, bless the sons and brothers with compassion, honored by the lord of the world and his retinue, abide in the Vidyadhara of the Joyful Ground." And as it says in the Six Spaces: "By the power of one's own self-awareness, in any of the three thousand worlds, even if one searches for it, there is no place to be found. The realm of experience of all the worlds is the very nature of that appearance, which no one has ever seen. The pure land of appearance and self-awareness, the yogi who is accustomed to this, sees the body of Kuntuzangpo, my body. Those who are fortunate see this, self-awareness, equal fortune, emptiness is liberated. By being accustomed to this, one has great fortune, without conceptualization."
