Among the many series of pith instructions, here, the nature of the Vajra's determined places is gathered into one, and explained very clearly, which is the extensive explanation of the treatise called "The Precious Treasury of the Dharmadhatu." Those who wish to compose it completely, first, in order to facilitate the writing of the treatise, make a brief preparation. The way of temporarily establishing the name is, in order to make those with sharp faculties understand the meaning just by hearing the name, and in order to understand that this treatise is a brief explanation of the Vajra body. In reality, naming also depends on any of the three: metaphor, meaning, and collection, from which related names arise. Here, the name is closely attached from the order of metaphor, meaning, and collection. The Dharmadhatu is the meaning, and the name "Precious Treasury" is the metaphor. The Dharmadhatu, the self-born wisdom, the nature of purity, is the ultimate truth of mind, because by the power of knowledge and ignorance, all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana arise. Just as all desired things arise from the wish-fulfilling jewel treasury, this is the combination of metaphor and meaning. The initial realm is called the Tathagatagarbha, the Buddha who is naturally and spontaneously accomplished. Apart from realization and non-realization, there is no other samsara and nirvana. Before this, the terms Buddha and sentient being could not be established, and if there is no knowledge, who will determine samsara and nirvana? There is also no basis for calculating liberation and delusion. As it is said in the tantra "Self-Arisen Wisdom": "Before I was, there was no Buddha or sentient being, where are the path and accomplishment? Nothing is born from other than me, I am the great emptiness. The five elements are born from me, I am the lord of the five elements. I am the ancestor of all Buddhas, before I was, there was no name of Buddha. I am the perfection of skillful means, I have no characteristics, my mind has no movement. I am the tomb of all Buddhas, the unchanging tomb is built on me. I am the place of all sentient beings, habits appear like a body. I am non-discriminating wisdom, I possess inner and outer secrets. I am the body of the Vajra essence, from me
