Since it is self-arisen without anyone making it, the basis, the Dharmakāya of the Buddha, is naturally accomplished in the unchanging Suchness; since the qualities of the sphere and the wisdom are inseparably present from the beginning, it abides as a wondrous and amazing Dharma; since the eternally unchanging wisdom abides as the self-arisen clear light Bodhicitta; even though Samsara and Nirvana arise due to the causes of realization and non-realization, its essence does not change anywhere, to the holy one who abides in the Dharmatā, the self-nature Great Perfection, I prostrate to the branch of knowing the abiding state, thus it is said. From Rangshar: In the essence of the true meaning, there are no Buddhas and sentient beings, since there are no Vidyādharas, it is emptiness, if it does not abide in emptiness, it abides in its own great bliss ground, the supreme lord of all Buddhas, should be known in one's own awareness, this king of self-appearing awareness, all have it, but there is no realization. Thus it is said. After that, vowing to begin writing: The pinnacle of vehicles, the realm of Mount Meru, sun and moon, the realm of spontaneously accomplished Vajra Essence of Clear Light, the realm of self-nature descending without effort and practice, please listen to me explain the primordially vast and wondrous Dharma. Thus is the instruction. The nature of mind is the self-arisen wisdom, although the meaning is the same, but due to the order of establishing the method, depending on the different faculties, therefore the order of many vehicles is explained, these are all gathered in the nine vehicles. In the Ati Kosa Great Commentary: There are three stages of the small vehicle, the Dharma that matches its mind, the Shravakas are contaminated by concepts, the Pratyekabuddhas have discrimination, the Bodhisattvas have conceptual intervention. There are three teachings of the middle vehicle, the most inferior is the Kriya, the inferior is the Ubhaya, the Yogacara has discriminative consciousness. There are three stages of the great vehicle, for those with great minds it is the generation stage, for those with essential minds it is the completion stage, for the extremely secret it is the Great Perfection. Thus it is said. Like this, the one that reaches the peak from the nine vehicles is Ati Yoga Vajra Essence, even within that, from the three sections of the Upadesha section, the unsurpassed Bindu is the most supreme, therefore it is called the realm of Mount Meru, sun and moon. Again, it is said in that same scripture: For those with minds it is the Mind Section, for those with space it is the Space Section, for those who are free from stages and efforts it is the Upadesha Section. Thus it is said. Self-nature is pure and accomplished

Transcending action, the clear light is the expanse of Vajra Essence (seed syllable, Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 吽); transcending effort and striving, it is the expanse of naturally descending nature; the self-nature being primordially pure, it is the expanse of primordial vastness, wondrous. The mind of enlightenment, Ati Vajra Essence (seed syllable, Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: 吽), like the meaning of space, is to be explained and composed for the sake of future generations, thus making a commitment. This realm is praised as the pinnacle of all views. In "Self-Arisen": The pinnacle of all views, is said to be Ati Dzogchen. The meaning of opening opportunities with vastness, should be known as like space. The meaning of being vast, deep, and difficult to fathom, is like the depth of the great ocean. The meaning of the gathering of clear rays of light, should be known as the very center of the sun. Because of liberation from the limits of conceptualization, it is said to be the king of secret mantra methods. Thus. These have shown the first aspect, the cause for entering into the composition of the treatise has been shown. Now, in order to explain in detail the actual body of the treatise, the place of the secret king is shown in thirteen chapters. First, since samsara and nirvana have not moved from the expanse of the dharmadhatu, it is shown that all dharmas are immutable from the state of the Great Perfection, which is equal to space. Although samsara and nirvana self-arise from the state of the spontaneously accomplished great perfection of the three kayas of rigpa, it is shown that they have not moved from the spontaneously accomplished expanse. From the spontaneously accomplished expanse, the basis from which all things arise. The essence is emptiness, the nature is unceasing. Nothing is established, yet everything arises. Although samsara and nirvana self-arise from the expanse of the three kayas. They have not moved from the expanse, the pure land of the bliss of dharmata. Thus, the essence of rigpa, which is naturally pure, is the empty dharmakaya, the nature of clarity is the sambhogakaya, and the unceasing manifestation of compassion is the nirmanakaya, these three are spontaneously accomplished without being sought from the beginning, and are the great treasure that never diminishes. The mandala of the ground of clear light, from that state, purity is the self-appearance of the Buddhas, impurity is the self-appearance of sentient beings, and whatever arises at the time of arising. It is only the play of the dharmadhatu, nothing else arises. Just as whatever good or bad is dreamed in a dream does not move from the state of sleep. In "Self-Arisen": From the state of emptiness, the sun of rigpa arises. From the mandala of the great treasure that never diminishes. The five kayas, which are immutable, arise and occur. In the state of non-conceptualization
