Eyes fixed far away on the expanse of appearances, seemingly wavering back and forth, expanding awareness. Meditating by letting the five senses wander freely, the inside and outside become empty, giving rise to the experience of the body merging with the sky, and the experience of bliss-clarity-non-thought, vast emptiness, and the experience of awareness being empty and naked. One feels that all appearances are empty, light, and clear, and that awareness is empty, traceless, and clear. One feels that everything is empty, liberated, and ends in emptiness, and that everything arises from a state of nothingness. No matter how much one examines and thinks, one cannot find any thoughts, and it is impossible for them to arise now, nor have they arisen in the past. Now, no one has any thoughts, so what does it mean to say there are many thoughts? And so on, giving rise to indescribable experiences of emptiness. From "The Lion's Complete Strength": "The mind abiding in its own state, in a state of meditative equipoise, the self-appearing mandala of non-things is the lord of all. The unchanging self-born is the realm of all dharmata. Self-appearing non-thought, the only one, abides clearly. Discriminating thought, free from the mind's thoughts, is the great proof of the meaning of secret mantra." So it is said. These three bonds cause awareness to abide in a state of non-meditation. Now, with the great power of discernment, eliminating the limits of doubt, abiding in the intention of self-origination, the discernment of how to purify the illusory samsara: The ground abides unmoving, in the intention of dharmata, without inside and outside, free from grasping and clinging to elaborations. There is no mind attached to "objects" outside, therefore there is no object to be grasped, free from attachment to the appearance of vessel and essence. There is no place to be born in samsara, like the sky. In the nature of self-awareness, there is no grasping, and although it appears as play, it is not grasped, therefore the outer appearance does not stain awareness. Now there is no place to be born in samsara. Because the self does not inwardly cling to the mind, therefore there is no object to be grasped, and the thoughts of existence are pacified. The author of birth in samsara is cut off from the root. At that time, like the sky, the phenomena of inner and outer illusion, nothing can be determined, and one goes to the intention of the dharmakaya. Reaching the end of exhaustion, there is no going or coming. Everything is the vast and boundless field of Samantabhadra. One has reached the supreme palace of the dharmakaya. Because one does not grasp the energy that arises from the inner mind, karma and afflictions are exhausted, and the author of birth in samsara or the object of illusion

Because there is no maker, the clinging to appearance and awareness is liberated. The castle of grasper and grasped collapses. Because of the exhaustion of delusion and deluded grasping, when awareness manifestly becomes completely clear, it reaches the place where the nature of phenomena is exhausted. It goes to the realm of Kuntuzangpo. This is called attaining the eternal dominion of the Dharmakaya King. When awareness is separated from mind, it is separated from the mind's delusion and its accompaniments. There is nowhere else to go but to the single Buddha. Because the essence is Buddha, it is manifest because it is free from obscurations. When awareness is together with mind, it is called sentient being. When it is separated from mind, it is called Buddha. As it is said in the Garland of Pearls: The difference between mind and wisdom, the wise should know. Mind is the basis of all habits, it is the impurity of all embodied beings. The mind that grasps at objects is mind. Therefore, it is the nature of samsara. When that mind is separated, it is the place of Buddhahood. The impurities of all embodied beings are exhausted. Beings go by that mind. Otherwise, they cannot go. Therefore, beings are like illusion wheels. So it is said. That is to say, from the mind of grasping, there is no object to be grasped, appearing as five clear appearances: form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. From the mind of the grasper, immeasurable karma, maturation, and afflictions appear. Grasping the non-object as an object, and grasping the non-mind as mind, this samsara appears like a dream to sentient beings, arising from the appearance of the mind's grasper and grasped. In "Perfection of Skill" it says: An ignorant child, with force, ties a knot in the sky. Grasping the non-existent object as existent. On things that have no self and other, due to delusion, grasping as self and other. So it is said. Therefore, making the non-mind awareness, the single wisdom, as the path, is the key to accomplishing the Dharmakaya free from mind in this life. Others make mind the path, therefore they do not transcend sentient beings, there is no time to attain Buddhahood. If the arising of mind does not cease, or the compassion aspect of arising liberation is not made the path, then what? The compassion aspect refers to the pure awareness of the basis of arising, not moving from its own place, therefore it is made the path. However, the thought part that has already arisen as mind is not made the path in any way. When the essence is placed in awareness, the mind is abandoned to self-liberation as it pleases, as has been said many times before. Therefore, mind is the object with the root of delusion and ignorance.
