That which is not found elsewhere is self-originated wisdom. As it says in the Magical Illusion Secret: Wondrous body and Buddha's realm too, Nowhere else to be found, in the nature of self-originated wisdom. Thus, since samsara and nirvana do not move from one awareness, if one awareness is liberated, the key to the liberation of all samsara and nirvana is taught to be extremely profound. Those five ways of liberation are also spoken of in the Garland of Pearls, with essence and examples: In the uninterrupted awareness, there is no cause for confusion, so there is no turning back. Being primordially liberated, it transcends dependence. Being self-liberated, the environment and conditions are exhausted. Being directly liberated, appearances are purified. Being ultimately liberated, the four extremes cease. Being one liberated, the many are emptied. Since all conditions are liberated by conditions, I do not rely on the object of focus. Since all objects are liberated by objects, I do not rely on the two, grasper and grasped. Since the cause itself is liberated by the cause, I do not rely on the two, samsara and nirvana. Since the dharma is liberated by the dharma, I do not rely on words and terms. Since the mind itself is liberated by the mind, I do not rely on the indicative intellect. Just as dirt is washed away by dirt, so purity is liberated by purity. Just as poisons destroy poisons, and iron cuts iron, and stone breaks stones, and wood burns wood. Each enemy is made by oneself. Liberation is not by dissimilar kinds. Thus, with these, the six bonds of the five ways of liberation, together with their essence, are released. Now, from the order of instructions on the nature of reality in the expanse of intention, binding as a pledge that which is equal to space and beyond thought and expression: From the great expanse of the nature of bodhichitta itself, no thoughts arise in the form of memory, and no signs of knowledge move in the mind. That itself is the single intention of the Buddha. Among the three, essence, nature, and compassion, first, fixing the nature of essence is to rest the mind itself, without hope or fear of arising or dissolving, in the expanse without thought, evenly and openly. As it says in the Great Garuda: The ground of resting without meditation is self-awareness, beyond sound and mind, the field beyond all. With an object of focus, it is one's own face; what need is there for fabrication? And it says in the All-Creating King: In the bodhi-dharma nature without acceptance or rejection, abiding like space, there is no need to fabricate body and mind. Without concepts or attachments, there is no need to meditate. Utterly peaceful like space, free from all turbidity, not on objects.

The entry of, its meaning is entry without an object. So it is said. Binding in the great clear emptiness of awareness is: The nature of enlightenment is like the vast expanse of the sky. The best of meditation is without memory and thought. One's own nature is unmoved and unmade. Free from the intention of not thinking in the mind. The natural state is unchanging in the three times. If there is no movement of all thoughts, it is the best of meditation. The nature of awareness is clear light, like the sun and moon shining in the middle of the sky without obscuration. In the state of self-clarity, naked and bare, without the distraction of thoughts, remain relaxed. Spontaneously accomplished, it is clear in its own face. As the Great Garuda says: The key to unmeditated wisdom is the unadulterated freedom. The self-appearance, free from causes and conditions, is unobscured. Effortless, unique, unmade by anyone. Enjoy the spontaneously accomplished realm of the heart essence of original perfection. So it is said. Moreover, conceptual thought is the opposite of clarity, and because it is endless, there is no place to rest. Therefore, one must abide in the self-clarity of the naked, self-liberated, natural state. As the Kunjed says: Conceptual thoughts on objects transcend the number of characteristics. It cannot be grasped by action, and thought destroys thought. Like the turbidity of water, it deceives children. So it is said. The binding of appearance and liberation, without distinction, nakedly, is: Suchness, the noble mind that abides in whatever place. The unique Buddha is the symbol, separate from all. Unmoving Dharmadhatu, beyond grasping and thought. The victorious ones' realm of mind, the best of vastness in nature. Abandon all artificial bonds of body and mind. Let it pass and relax, whatever thoughts and memories may move. If the foundation does not move from the state of Dharma-nature, all is the vast realm of Samantabhadra's mind. Even though the manner of appearance from the clarity of awareness is not obstructed, but moves and arises, like water and waves, without good or bad. When the all-pervading awareness of great equality is recognized and placed, appearance and liberation are simultaneous. By the very nature of movement, one knows the fault of being bound by birth, and it is important to allow it to appear as one pleases. In the place of appearance, without thinking or disturbing with the antidote of recognition, the nature of liberation is without abandonment or antidote. As the Great Garuda says: Abiding is binding, moving is liberation in its own place. Seeing the non-existent, without abandoning, there is no Buddhahood in the face. This place without a place abides in any realm. Entering is without going to the other shore of anything. So it is said. As the Kunjed says: Beyond conceptual thought,
