The flow of liberation is uninterrupted. Because it is uninterrupted, there is no obstruction between cause and effect. Because there is no cause and effect, the precipice of samsara is cut off. Because there is no precipice, where would there be a mistake? Here, because awareness is uninterrupted, its power does not cease, and when awareness appears as if appearing in an object, it either arises, abides, or is liberated, that is, it does not go beyond these three states of vanishing. It is like the continuous flow of a river. In a single moment, there is no accumulation of cause and effect. Arising and vanishing are simultaneous, like ripples on water. Abiding and those two are conclusions drawn from observing the aspect of awareness with the mind. Arising and liberation exist at the same time, it is impossible to have cause and effect, therefore, realizing nakedly, the cause of samsara is exhausted. The result cannot revolve in the three realms and six paths, therefore the mind is at ease. There is no mistake or obscuration in this key point, because it is pure in arising and liberation, therefore mistake and obscuration are cut off in the nature of reality, and it is called cutting off the precipice of hope and fear. The blocking and gathering in practice is: whether mind appears on an object or an object appears on mind, it is the same no matter what appears. At the place of appearance, in the moment of focusing intently, it naturally vanishes, without a trace, and a state of clarity and lucidity cannot but arise. At that time, abiding in the state of vanishing, recognizing the state of awareness that is clear and lucid, then the pure aspect will be even stronger, and the determination will be even more thorough. Others only cultivate in the state of vanishing, with empty non-discrimination, but I think that is the abiding part of awareness, therefore they cannot understand the key point. No matter what, one must recognize the state of awareness that is naked, clear, and open, and this must be considered the special characteristic of this Great Perfection. The blocking of focused liberation is to gather by recognizing awareness in the interval between the appearance of external objects and the arising of inner knowledge of emptiness and clarity. As the Garuda said: Focused liberation, self-purification, ultimate liberation is completely perfect. Whose boundlessness, which two are self-luminous, the great space of non-action, the great blocking that needs no seeking. Body and speech are non-action, gathering in the space between appearance and emptiness. Thus it is said. The blocking and gathering in ultimate liberation that transcends thought and speech is: The realm of Samantabhadra, which is originally unchanging, because there is no change, it is the realm of Vajrasattva. Merely recognizing the original state is just giving the name Buddha. Because the nature of awareness is not established anywhere, it is Samantabhadra, because it is empty, clear, and transparent, it is the vast realm of Vajrasattva, recognizing this is becoming a Buddha.

It is called finding it within oneself. Searching elsewhere, one cannot find it. As the Illusion Sutra says: From any direction in the ten directions and four times, the complete Buddha cannot be found. Since the nature of mind is the complete Buddha, do not seek the Buddha elsewhere. As it says. The Noble Inconceivable Wisdom Sutra says: Since the nature of mind is the complete Buddha, do not seek the Buddha elsewhere. As it says. Taking this to heart, whether it arises or does not arise, it is the same. Therefore, do not think outwards towards external objects, do not contemplate inwards towards the mind, and do not leave it in the unborn state in between. Instead, recognize the unobstructed awareness as being struck directly. Without abandoning anything, abide for a moment in the view that is free from extremes, beyond elaboration and thought, like the sky, which does not remain before the mind. Because there is no distraction of conceptual thought, it is called not remaining before the mind. Because one does not conceptualize the objects of appearance, it is called without substance and without characteristics. When the object of appearance, substance, and the distraction of consciousness, non-substance, are inseparable, there is no other aspect of measuring samsara and nirvana and grasping and holding. Therefore, the wisdom of one's own awareness, which is beyond speech, thought, and expression, is called one's own awareness. As the Garland of Pearls says: Because it is liberated from extremes, the four extremes cease. As it says. The Great Garuda also says: Self-abiding, dependent, and the activities of samsara and nirvana are separate. Whether it is self or other, the magic of appearance and consciousness also, by removing the obstacles of delusion, seeing, grasping, and attachment, the extremes of elaborating in words cease. Whatever magic of mind and thought appears ceases. Bind between the mind that is free from dharma and action. As it says. This essential point is the great path common to all the noble ones who have gone and followed. Prajnaparamita, which is beyond speech, thought, and expression, the nature of unborn and unceasing space, the field of activity of the wisdom of self-awareness, I prostrate to the mother of the Buddhas of the three times. As it says. The Treasury of Unborn Jewels says: Do not think about anything, do not contemplate anything. Do not make fabrications, leave it in its natural state. That which is not fabricated is the treasury of unborn jewels. It is the path of all the Buddhas of the three times. As it says. The Engaging in Bodhisattva Behavior says: When real and unreal things do not remain before the mind, then, because there is no other aspect, it is completely pacified without an object of focus. As it says, and so on. Praise for the meaning of the nature of reality, liberated from extremes.
