One should remain steadfast in the state of directly recognizing naked awareness. In the "Six Spaces" it says: "Whoever does not follow the past, does not anticipate the future, and leaves present awareness in its own place, all awarenesses blend into one without before or after, which is called the single nature of unified oneness, and is the yoga of awareness in the equality of the three times." Mixing samsara and nirvana into non-duality by the method of self-exhausting memory means: cutting off the recollection of past thoughts, suppressing the anticipation of future thoughts, and letting present thoughts naturally vanish, this is called the yogi of awareness in the equality of the three times. Not delving into past thoughts, not placing hope in future thoughts, and not clinging to present thoughts is the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times. Not covering up past ignorance, not ignoring future ignorance, and not embracing present ignorance is the yogi of awareness in the equality of the three times. Not bearing grudges against past anger, not hooking future anger with a hook, and not fueling present anger, this is called the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times. Not accumulating clouds of past delusion, not clearing the ground for future delusion, and not raining down present delusion, this is called the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times. Not arguing with past Buddhas, not anticipating future Buddhas, and not fabricating present Buddhas is called the yogi of the equality of the three times. Not rejecting past desires, not suppressing future desires, and not fueling present desires is the yogi of the equality of the three times. Not clinging tightly to past jealousy, not longing for future jealousy, and not allowing present jealousy to occupy the mind is the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times, and is called the yogi who realizes the non-duality of samsara and nirvana. Buddha is awareness, which is the severance of the connection of the three times, and is without any fabrication. Then, is there a contradiction between explaining the self-arisen qualities when awareness arises and abiding without conceptual thought? In fact, the two are closely related, because afflictions

Like clearly arising, in the state of letting it arise, recognize the naked awareness that emerges. Without any fabrication, cut the connection of the three times and remain unmoving. Thus, meditation that does not deviate from the nature of reality naturally arises. The Mountain King Abiding is: Originally, appearances and mind are the natural state of reality. Unmoving samadhi arises like a flowing river. The Vajra Peak is the essence of Samantabhadra's mind. The vast and supreme Dharma is equal to the edge of the sky. Without discrimination, it is the supreme of meditating on everything. Originally vast, it is spontaneously accomplished as a wonderful king. From the completion of the three methods of abiding, the Mountain King Abiding naturally arises. Just as the Mountain King is unshakeable, one gains confidence in not deviating from the nature of reality. That is to say, when a yogi realizes that the essence of awareness is unchangeable and abides in that state, no circumstance can shake him. Because that circumstance arises in that awareness, illuminating the awareness is like adding wood to a fire. From the Unwritten (text): The Mountain King Abiding is a secret view. There is no doubt, and movement naturally ceases. Thus, among the three samadhis that are part of the four methods of abiding, the Great Expanding Samadhi is: Originally, the all-encompassing, clear light is like a flowing river. In this state of non-grasping and non-rejection, it is spontaneously accomplished. The nature of samsara and nirvana is the essence of the Dharmadhatu's mind. Unmoving, beyond words, it is the vast expanse equal to space itself. It is naturally present in all beings. Because awareness pervades all of samsara and nirvana, and awareness is pervaded by natural meditation, this mind is continuously present in all beings, yet it is not realized. As the Kunjed Gyalpo Tantra says: The essence of non-conceptualization is not hidden in the continuum of all beings. The actions of non-grasping enlightenment naturally abide in all ways. Thus it is. The method of meditating on this samadhi is to sit in the vajra posture, fix the eyes on space, and without contraction or expansion of consciousness, rest in the self-illuminating nature of "Sale Hrigge" (Tibetan: ས་ལེ་ཧྲིག་གེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , Chinese literal meaning: ). All external appearances and internal movements naturally increase, and awareness does not follow after objects and mind. As the Six Spaces say: The Great Expanding Samadhi is for one who wishes to meditate, in order to grasp the key point of immutability, the posture of the body
