On the ground, Mahā is obscured. The practice of Dzogchen's effort is said to fall into Mahāyoga. Anu considers the undifferentiated ground, entering the door of the Dharmadhātu and wisdom. For all phenomena that appear in this way, the cause is seen as the pure Dharmadhātu, and the result is seen as the mandala of wisdom. The great bliss of Atiyoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends cause and effect. Anu obscures that which transcends cause and effect. If one views the two, cause and effect, of Dzogchen, it is said to fall into Anuyoga. Thus it is said. The intention of self-nature Ati is that the great Dharma without acceptance or rejection, without effort, is the self-arisen wisdom, the very nature of Bodhicitta, without moving from its direct state, it is manifested, therefore there is no need to strive elsewhere. Abiding in oneself, do not seek elsewhere. The self-essence of the spontaneously accomplished Vajra Heart, the self-doctrine is that the unadulterated awareness, without moving from the state of Dharmatā, is considered the Dharmakāya, the Buddha of the ground. If one seeks elsewhere, one will not find the Buddha. The Buddha is only a name, but in reality, it is considered only the essence of unchanging awareness entering into space. As the Great Garuda said: The self-manifestation without cause or condition, the unobstructed nature itself. Effortless, unique, unmade by anyone, the primordial perfection, the heart essence, dwells in the spontaneously accomplished realm. Thus it is said. As the Pearl Rosary said: The perfect Buddha is self-awareness itself. Thus it is said. As the Kunjed Gyalpo said: Do not look for the Buddha, realize your own mind, which is without action. If you examine it, it is not there, but self-awareness is primordially clear. Thinking that this is not it, in the cause and effect Mahāyāna, through various means of abandonment, prevention, practice, and blessings, one deviates from the self-mind's Dharmatā, which is without action. Abiding in oneself, do not seek far away. For effortless bliss, accept effort. There is no greater disease than that. Thus it is said. Showing the difference between the two vehicles: This is the very essence of the sun, it is considered to abide in the self-abiding, luminous, and immovable state. Others, through the effort of dispelling clouds and darkness, are like creating the primordially existent sun. Therefore, the difference between these two is like heaven and earth. The spontaneously accomplished Vajra Heart, this is the very essence of awareness, this very nature is primordially accomplished as the Buddha, like the sun existing in reality. Others think that through the causes and conditions of dispelling clouds and darkness, one can see the primordial sun. Cause and condition, effort

Ultimately, the desire to attain Buddhahood through diligent effort contradicts spontaneous accomplishment. Therefore, these vehicles have contradictions within their respective tenets. Thus, the awareness of self-arisen wisdom exists in a naturally enlightened state from the very beginning, distinguished by the difference between existence and non-existence. The lower vehicles explain without realizing the true meaning. As it is said in the 'Essence of Accomplishments': One mandala expresses many meanings; one secret mantra has nine ways of holding. These also appear as mere appearances. Through nine stages, the meaning of self-arisen wisdom is not realized. In the nature of appearance, within appearance, ultimate truth and conventional truth are not different but are of one essence. For the nature that is enlightened from the beginning, what use are conceptual thoughts of characteristics? Everything is merely a play of wisdom. One awareness expresses many meanings, appearing as the nature of the three bodies of the Buddhas. From the body arise the blessings and miraculous powers of wisdom. Appearance and non-appearance are not Dharma; realization and non-realization are liberated from extremes. The wisdom of appearance abides in the essence. The five elements, the Vajras, are the lords of conditions. Thus it is said. Now, to dispel the confusion of not distinguishing between self-arisen wisdom and later-arisen conceptual thoughts: Nowadays, those elephants who boast of Atiyoga mistake fleeting, flickering conceptual thoughts for Bodhicitta! This ignorance is entirely a dark abyss, far from the meaning of natural Great Perfection. If one does not even know the function and what arises from the function, what need is there to speak of the nature of Bodhicitta? Even if one merely has faith in this vehicle, there is not even a fraction of a chance to see it well, not even a part of a hair divided into a hundred parts. Arrogant and conceited with unexamined ignorance, adorning their faces with golden nets of jealousy and wrong views. Some who consider themselves wise with the demeanor of elephants, and who are skilled in flattery and adulation, themselves enter the path of afflictions, ignorance, and wrong views. Not only that, but they also instruct those beings who turn towards liberation and have little merit, saying: Whatever arises is the nature of Dharmakaya; these false conceptual thoughts are self-arisen wisdom, and so on. And "Though it is Samadhi, it is the mind of ignorance," and so on, deceiving beings with these, falsely proclaiming profound teachings that others do not have. I see these, and this is merely a thief who has appeared in this vehicle nowadays. Like this, one's own
