The self-nature of awareness is the state of being present at all times and places, free from all thoughts, words, and elaborations. Mind is the consciousness that grasps onto objects. The root of mind lies in wisdom, and in between, there is the radiance or power of wisdom. Therefore, one must recognize the self-nature as wisdom in relation to time. If one fails to recognize it, it is called defilement. Because there is a difference between the essence and power of awareness, mind and wisdom must be distinguished. Furthermore, the three vehicles of causality made into one, and the three of Kriya, Upa, and Yoga, totaling four, plus the two of Maha and Anu, totaling six, are all shown to be detours on the path of Great Perfection. As it says in the *All-Creating King*: "The six vehicles that have attained certainty are shown to be detours on the path of Great Perfection." What are they like? The Sutra section of the Bodhisattvas desires the ground of all light, and with the conceptual analysis of the two truths, considers the nature of reality to be emptiness like the sky. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends conceptual analysis, and the Sutras obscure that which transcends conceptual analysis. Conceptual analysis and thought in Great Perfection are said to be detours in the Sutras. Kriya desires to be Vajradhara, entering the door of the three purities, and abiding in the pure realm of grasping and being grasped. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends grasping and being grasped, and Kriya obscures that which transcends grasping and being grasped. Grasping and being grasped in Great Perfection are said to be detours in Kriya. The view and conduct of Upaya is to practice Kriya and cultivate Yoga. Because the view and conduct are not related, the meaning of non-duality is not realized. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the non-dual Bodhicitta, and Upa obscures non-duality. Dualistic grasping in Great Perfection is said to be a detour in Upaya. Yoga desires to arrange densely, entering the door of signs and no-signs, mainly practicing the four mudras, unable to enter non-acceptance and non-rejection. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta of non-acceptance and non-rejection, and Yoga obscures non-acceptance and non-rejection. Acceptance and rejection in Great Perfection are said to be detours in Yoga. Maha desires to be Vajradhara, entering the door of skillful means and wisdom, and in the self-existing pure mandala, practices with the four modes of approach and accomplishment. The great bliss of Ati Yoga is the Bodhicitta that transcends effort and accomplishment, effort and acco
