Perfected clear understanding and manifest knowledge. From the activity's Dharma wheel, Outer, inner, and secret are all elaborated, To the Buddhas of each lineage, and Also to the Bodhisattvas, From the self-born tongue, emanations arise, Showing the retinue its own nature. Thus it is said. Depending on the nature of wisdom, there are two aspects. The concise teaching is from the tantra itself: The Sambhogakaya's wisdom holds characteristics, With pure objects, it is like a mirror, The reflections of samsara and nirvana are clear. Without bias, it is equality, Showing the objects of the senses, it discerns separately, Without effort, actions are accomplished, Without difference, it is the Dharmadhatu. Thus it is said. There are five aspects of the detailed explanation. The wisdom of the Dharmadhatu is: The source of emptiness, clarity, and awareness. From Rangshar (Self-Arisen Wisdom): The wisdom of the Dharmadhatu is: The realm of great emptiness itself, and The appearance of clear light, and The sphere of activity of wisdom and awareness, these three. These three together are called Dhatu. Thus it is said. The essence is the definition itself. From Thalgyur (Transformation): The Dharmadhatu is vast, Without beginning or end to be seen, It is the pure nature of liberation's basis. Dharma is what is practiced, Without past or worldly affairs, Its nature is clear and pure. The opportunity of the Dhatu is opened, It is the abode of the great self-born. Wisdom is the nature of perfection, From the beginning, it is uncreated, Knowing, it is liberated from both samsara and nirvana, The intention of self-appearing perfection. Thus it is said. Mirror-like wisdom with illustrative examples, also from Rangshar: Mirror-like wisdom is: Like a mirror's mandala, Whatever is shown, that condition arises, Likewise, awareness is without stain, The appearance of pure wisdom is clear. Thus it is said. From Thalgyur: Mirror wisdom from reflections, Shape and color, appearance complete, White, pure, hence light, Self-existing appearance, joining samsara and nirvana. The form of all dharmas appears, Hence it is called self-knowing wisdom. Clear and empty, liberated by emptiness, The conceptual thoughts of grasping at liberation are exhausted, Without placement, self-liberated, perfected in the ground. Thus it is said. The wisdom of equality is, from Rangshar: On the nature of equality of all dharmas, Not falling to any side. Thus it is said. From Thalgyur: What is called equality is: The cause of equality

Therefore, there are three causes of equal action. With equal timing and degree. To this, there is no duality, no bias or distinction. Undivided, inseparable, the self-abiding nature. What is called equality is the Dharma nature. Free from the elaboration of suffering. What is called self-nature is without fabrication or effort. Self-nature abides, essence is emptiness. Mind-nature, all conceptual thoughts cease. What is called wisdom, from abiding. By realizing its characteristics. Not abiding in either samsara or nirvana. Thus it is said. Equality

If analyzed, from the nature of the support body and the supported wisdom, the Emanation Body (Nirmanakaya) has three aspects: essence, definition, and classification. The essence is that it is an Emanation Body because it appears similar (to those being tamed), is uncertain, and is short-lived. As the 'Self-Arisen' states: 'To whomever needs taming, it appears to them; to those who appear similar to others, it is not ignorant of the benefit of others, and can transform into anything.' The definition, as stated in the tantra itself: 'O Lord of Secrets! Know that these are the definitions of the Emanation Body. Because it appears similar to all sentient beings in the world realms, it is an Emanation Body. Because it is capable of accomplishing benefit, it is an Emanation Body. Because it accomplishes all activities, it is an Emanation Body. Because it liberates countless sentient beings, it is an Emanation Body. Because it is short-lived in one realm, it is an Emanation Body. Because compassion arises without bias, it is an Emanation Body.' There are three classifications. From the perspective of activity, there is the Emanation Body of complete activity, which is when the body has not been abandoned but the mind has matured into the Dharmakaya and accomplishes benefit; and the Emanation Body of ongoing activity, which is the play of appearances arising from the Dharmadhatu. Or, there are three: the skillful arts emanation, the birth emanation, and the supreme emanation. As the 'Self-Arisen' states: 'The classification of the Emanation Body is, complete activity and ongoing activity, these are considered as two. The Emanation Body of complete activity is, one's own continuum is liberated and manifestly enlightened, and then emanations are sent forth. The Emanation Body of ongoing activity is, to whomever needs taming, it appears to them; to those who appear similar to others, that is like a superior one.' As the 'Ornament of the Sutras' states: 'Skillful arts, birth, and great enlightenment, the supreme enlightenment emanation, this Buddha's Emanation Body, is the great means of liberation.' Classified by the five perfections, from the classification of various transformations, at the time of the Dharmakaya of the Emanation Body, the teacher is the Great Vajradhara, whose characteristic appears as the body of the four births, promising to accomplish the thirty-six activities to their ultimate completion, whose realm possesses countless billions of trillions of three-thousand world systems. Its place is a lotus flower with a thousand petals, and the retinue is the four births.
