Because the place is not fixed. Because talents and qualities are inexhaustible. It only appears as a play. It is the basis for perfecting all kinds. Because of non-existence, it appears; because of appearance, it is empty. The union of appearance and emptiness has limbs. It is the place of Buddhas and sentient beings. Thus, it manifestly exists as the basis. From the purity of self-nature, free from dust. From the aspect of essence, it is empty when examined. Because the limbs are expanded, wisdom is complete. Because it is naturally established in its own place. There is no acceptance or rejection for this. From the all-pervasive wisdom of compassion. It is the door through which various things appear without being made. It seems like an action, but the essence is complete. From the emptiness of the Dharmakaya's self-nature. The part where wisdom and knowledge are complete. Naturally appears to sentient beings. Without it, samsara and nirvana would be cut off. It is known and clear through wisdom. From the nature of self-awareness and clarity. Self-nature is naturally compassion itself. Uninterrupted, without cessation. From the pure aspect of the elements. In non-action, one is complete. Like the light of the sun. Self-nature is without obscuration. Thus it is said. Now, it is the explanation of the Sambhogakaya with wisdom. The essence of the Sambhogakaya is self-nature spontaneously accomplished. In the play, the five families and five wisdoms appear. It appears to fill the entire space of the sky. The part of the spontaneously accomplished nature of awareness is the actual Sambhogakaya of the nature of complete qualities, which is inseparable in essence from the Dharmakaya. From its part, the bodies of the five families appear separately in the play, thus pervading the entire space of the sky. It is the five wisdoms with characteristics and the Sambhogakaya of the play, called the lord of all mandalas in the center of the great snow mountain and ocean. Here, the nature of the dependent body and the nature of the dependent wisdom are extensively explained. Among them, the dependent Sambhogakaya has three aspects: essence, definition, and division. The essence is the body of spontaneously accomplished wisdom, appearing but without self-nature, endowed with marks and signs. As it is said in "Self-Appearance": The colors are not mixed, each holding its own characteristics. Having excellent marks and signs, radiating light. Holding the attire of father, mother, and body. It is the characteristic of the Sambhogakaya. Thus it is said. The definition is from that very tantra: Clear and unmixed, pervading all is enjoyment, the five appearances themselves are without signs is consumption, without object.

Thus, all phenomena are perfected by appearing simultaneously. Emptiness is unceasing, each is distinctly clear. The characteristics of each appearance are held by the Dharmakaya. Thus it is. If divided, there are three sets of five. If divided into five perfections, the three kayas abide in fifteen dharmas by the power of various emanations. At the time of the Sambhogakaya Dharmakaya, the teacher is Vairochana, the Great Snow Sea. The way he abides is that the outside is clear from the inside, and the inside is clear from the outside. There is no front or back. The face is open to all ten directions. His pure land, in the palm of his hand, possesses twenty-one world realms. The place is the pure and dense array. The retinue is none other than himself. The teaching is the self-manifestation of self-arisen wisdom. The time is when realization manifests. At the time of the Sambhogakaya's Sambhogakaya, the teachers are the chief lords of each family. Their characteristics are that their essence is different but their nature is the same. The pure lands are the countless mandalas of each family. The place is Akanishta, densely arrayed. The retinue is the five families of each. The teaching is the five wisdoms. The time is when appearances gather and increase. At the time of the Sambhogakaya's Nirmanakaya, the teachers are the five chief lords of each of the five Buddha families. Their characteristics are that they appear but have no nature, and are clear but have no conceptualization. Their pure land is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of gods and goddesses who naturally abide. The place is the Great Bliss Lotus Light, the pure place of wisdom, whose nature has never been manifestly gathered by anything. The retinue is the self-manifested Buddhas and their respective mandalas. The time is the time of the self-manifestation of awareness. The division into five families is from the Rangshar: Thus, the families appear as five, namely the Tathagata family, the Vajra family, the Ratna family, the Padma family, and the Karma family. Thus it is. Vairochana and Vajrasattva, as well as Ratnasambhava and Amitabha and Amoghasiddhi. Thus it is. The division into five kayas, speech, mind, qualities, and activities is from the commentary on the Abhisamayalankara: The Sambhogakaya also has five kayas, speech, mind, qualities, and activities. The kaya is appearance without inherent existence, clarity and the illuminator pervade awareness. Speech is self-arisen and self-manifested, the wheel of expansion and contraction. Mind is uninterrupted vision, as well as the ability of wisdom and intention. Qualities are the perfection of marks and signs.
