In short, some say that by meditating on deities, accomplishments arise, and when combined with meditating on impermanence, etc., accomplishments arise. If newly appearing phenomena seem to be accomplished, then isn't that true? What is said here is that it is not true because it only appears to be accomplished by chance. Because it would not appear without meditation, it appears as meditation, etc. Merely because the power of thought is strong, it seems for a while that it changes according to the object of observation, due to its causes and conditions, but the ultimate truth of Dharma nature does not change even by the amount of a hair's breadth. Just like children's games, the appearance seems to change for a moment, but in reality, it does not change; and like the appearance of illusion, it seems to change for a while, but it is ultimately impossible to last, so in reality, it does not change. Similarly, when appearing as delusion and non-delusion, at this time, it seems that consciousness is changing for a while, but in reality, from the perspective of Dharma nature, not even a hair's breadth changes. Whatever appears is the play of emptiness. Some also say that because there is seeing and hearing, emptiness is not reasonable. That emptiness is when there is nothing at all, and focusing the mind solely on something invisible is called nihilism. We do not argue with those who hold such emptiness. Arguing with extremists is just a waste of effort. The eight examples of illusion are used to easily understand the self-nature of emptiness. Now, we consider the appearances of seeing and hearing, sentient beings and the world, samsara and nirvana, as appearing as emptiness. If it does not appear, since there is nothing to rely on, how can we talk about relying on anything? If you think it is the nature of Dharma nature, but no nature is established, so it is not emptiness either. As it says in the Root Wisdom: "Emptiness and non-emptiness, etc., these four do not exist in peace." Because no dharma is established, it is imputed. As it says in the scriptures: "The Buddhas have said that there is self and no-self, they have also contemplated emptiness, and they have also said non-emptiness." This is like chanting. These are important keys to the tenets, so they should be understood. Now, explaining that contemplation is originally liberated because it is empty in its own nature: Liberated in one, liberated in the expanse of Dharma nature. There is no duality, liberated in the equality of object and mind. Self-arisen liberation, liberated in the expanse of wisdom. Spontaneously accomplished liberation, liberated in the purity of the ground.

Since all is unborn, it is liberated into emptiness; it is not apart from the nature of one awareness, so it is liberated there. The appearance of object and the mind that grasps it as two, from the very appearance, does not move from the one awareness that is without duality, so it is liberated there. The self-arisen wisdom of awareness, without any limitation or bias, is liberated into the single, non-elaborate wisdom of meaning. Even the single spontaneously accomplished bindu is liberated into the expanse that transcends expression. In the nature of the vast expanse of ultimate liberation, there is no acceptance or rejection of samsara or nirvana. Therefore, obscurations are purified in the absence of an object, and the intention of self-arisen wisdom, which cannot be obscured by anything, is naturally present from the beginning. To explain this meaning a little, it should be understood as stated in the scriptures. As it is said in the "Lion's Perfect Strength": "The three thousand worlds are naturally vast, temporary conditions do not obscure me. The dharmadhatu is naturally vast, narrow ravines do not obscure me. Self-arisen is naturally clear, the darkness of samsara does not obscure me. Awareness is naturally immortal, birth and death do not obscure me. The three kayas are naturally present, the five poisons do not obscure me. Skillful means and wisdom are naturally present, union and liberation do not obscure me. Nectar naturally cures disease, the root of the five poisons does not obscure me. Awareness is naturally without direction, straying and obscuration do not obscure me. The dharmakaya is naturally without self, self and other do not obscure me. Appearance is naturally self-luminous, the five elements do not obscure me. The three kayas are naturally self-complete, generation and completion do not obscure me. Clarity is naturally free from things, the characteristics of phenomena do not obscure me. Self-knowing is naturally immutable, virtue and sin do not obscure me." And: "Since objects are self-appearing without conceptualization, the grasping of the mind does not obscure me. Since wisdom transcends phenomena, various thoughts do not obscure me. Since I do not grasp appearance and object as two, the eight consciousnesses do not obscure me. Since I do not separate buddhas and sentient beings, good and bad do not obscure me. Since I do not separate emptiness and clarity, sinking and excitement do not obscure me. Since I do not separate action and agent, the effort of the vehicle does not obscure me. Since there is no separation of realization and non-realization, yes and no do not"
