Then, no matter what arises, it is as if one's own awareness is sleeping in bed, without ever having left it. The self-appearance, without limitation or bias, naturally arises as unreal. As the Khyunchen says: "The mind that is originally without bias, to whom does samsara and the lower realms appear to be established? Like false dreams, illusions, and cities of gandharvas, it is impossible for false appearances to have the power of truth." Also, as the Kunjed says: "Without Buddhas, there are no names for sentient beings. It transcends the phenomena that are merely labeled as existence." The Dzogchen Desum says: This shows the nature that has not moved from the realm of samsara and nirvana. Commentary on the first chapter. Second, the commentary on the chapter on the appearance of phenomenal existence as realms. Having thus established the nature of the expanse as the basis, now, from the expanse and the expanse, the meaning of the realms that naturally arise is extensively shown. First, the expanse of great expanse is described as being like the sky: The nature of the expanse is primordially spontaneously accomplished, without inside or outside, pervading everywhere. It is without limits, transcending above and below, directions and boundaries. Without narrowness or width, awareness is clear like the sky. It is the very expanse that is free from aims, thoughts, and elaborations. The mind of enlightenment, equal to space, is originally pure in its essence. There is no inside or outside, directions, narrowness or width, essence, or characteristics that can be grasped. Therefore, it is somewhat similar to the nature of space. The example and meaning are combined. As the Kunjed says: "The mind is the essence of suchness. In the great bliss of suchness, which is non-dual, it possesses all aspects and is completely without aspects. It abides primordially, free from elaboration, like the sky. There is no object of focus, and it cannot be counted as one." Thus, from the expanse of empty awareness, it is shown that the self-image of empty samsara and nirvana arises: From the unborn expanse, all the miraculous manifestations of birth arise. It is not certain in any way, and there is no limitation anywhere. It cannot be pointed out as "this," and there are no characteristics of an object. In the nature that is vast like the sky, it is unborn, spontaneously accomplished, and without beginning or end. Awareness, from the beginning, is in a state of non-birth. Whatever appears, such as birth, is a play of non-birth. It is beyond limitation and bias. The Lion's Perfect Play says: "The mind of enlightenment of the Great Perfection, the essence of awareness is

Without thought, because there is nothing, everything arises. So it is said. The All-Creating King says: The nature of Dharma is like the sky, and it is shown by the example of the sky. The nature of Dharma is without object, and it is shown by the absence of object. What cannot be expressed in words is expressed in words. It is shown in the essence of the meaning of no object. Thus, what is shown as the view of spontaneous accomplishment, which transcends coming and going, is: The essence of all samsara and nirvana is Bodhicitta. The spontaneously accomplished, unborn, uncreated, and undetermined is: It does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere. The realm of Bodhicitta is without before or after. There is no coming or going, and it is universally vast. The essence of awareness, spontaneously accomplished, transcends the subject of expression, and is shown as the realm of samsara and nirvana. The All-Creating King says: The root of all dharmas is one in Bodhicitta. All Buddhas and sentient beings, existence and samsara, vessels and contents, are all in the essence of Bodhicitta, which arises from everything. There is not one, but if counted, it cannot be expressed. The body, speech, and mind of the Buddha, and the body and speech of sentient beings, are also Bodhicitta, which is inherently free from grasping. So it is. That is, it is shown as the great space-like realm of purity. Without beginning, end, or center, the nature of Dharma is suchness. Vastly pervasive, in the nature of purity, which is like space, there is no beginning or end, and it transcends the realm of before and after. There is no birth or death, and there is no characteristic of things. There is no coming or going, and it is free from this designation. There is no effort or accomplishment, and it is empty of the Dharma of action. Without direction or center, it is the basis of suchness. Without object, without interruption, it is the realm of equality. Thus, awareness is not established anywhere, and because it transcends all designations, metaphors, and natures of this and that. Without beginning or end, without birth or death, without coming or going, without effort or accomplishment, without limit or center, and so on. The Six Spaces say: Free from the proliferation of many designations. Not born from mantra, it is the nature of original perfection. Completely free from causes and conditions. Free from all stains of view and meditation. Without limit, there is no attachment to the center. Without form, and without objects. Without deity, there is no mantra. Without Dharma, it transcends all imputation. Without enemy, there is no friend. Without body, there is no appearance as sense. Dharma is not visible by thought, there is nothing, and there is no grasping anywhere. There is no I, and there are no attendants of I. Realm.
