Inconceivable. As stated in the Pramāṇavārttika: "Whoever cultivates diligently, When cultivation is fully accomplished, That is the clear, non-conceptual wisdom, The fruit." Furthermore, initially, as a sign of the mind abiding, one becomes unwilling to engage in activities, becoming more lazy than before, resulting in relaxation of body and mind. Behavior also becomes like an uncorrected madman. Unnecessary attachment to this life arises. The body is without illness, and the complexion is radiant. There is little desire for food, and even without eating, the complexion flourishes. Sleep dissolves into clear light, and the illusions of dreams cease. Subtle clairvoyance is attained, and one knows the good and bad of oneself and others. There is no attachment to anything as truly existent, and thus the eight worldly concerns collapse. Moreover, among the thirteen signs of warmth indicating the arising and stability of samadhi, the six external signs are: when the mind looks, it feels as if there is nothing at all; a feeling of comfortable ease; a feeling of clear brightness; a feeling of emptiness; joy and spontaneous laughter; and feeling boundless, inseparable from the sky. The three internal signs are: feeling without a body; feeling without a mind; and not sensing the breath moving in and out. The four secret signs are: the body is as light as cotton, fluttering; feeling the body floating in the sky; feeling the sun rising; and feeling the moon rising. If one clings to the six external signs, one will stray into the desire realm. If one clings to the three internal signs, one will stray into the form realm. If one clings to the four secret signs, one will stray into the four formless realms. If one does not decide with the correct view, but clings only to the feeling of emptiness and cultivates, one will stray into the realm of infinite space. If one knows that all appearances and mind are only one's own mind, and cultivates the clarity of mind, one will stray into the realm of infinite consciousness. If one cultivates emptiness without the mind touching appearances, one will stray into the realm of nothingness. If one cultivates appearances without the mind touching them, as neither existent nor non-existent, one will stray into the peak of existence. If one cultivates in a state where thoughts cease in nothingness, one will stray into the long-lived gods of non-discrimination. All deviations occur because one clings to a slight experience that arises in those samadhis, considering it supreme, and thus goes astray into the view of holding asceticism as supreme. Therefore, cultivation is precious because there is no clinging to self-attachment. The Dohā says: If there is any attachment, abandon it.

If it becomes like that, everything is like that. Apart from that, no one will know. Having become accustomed to this, one will realize the ultimate truth and quickly accomplish the Dharmakaya. As a preliminary, through the yoga of the guru and so on, one perfects the accumulation of merit, the conventional aspect, and thereby accomplishes the Rupakaya. Therefore, this path is profound and without deviation. As it says in the Ratnavali: The Rupakaya of the Buddhas arises from the accumulation of merit. The Dharmakaya, in brief, arises from the accumulation of wisdom, the king. And as it says in the Todlü: By becoming accustomed to the cause of emptiness, one attains the peak of the Dharmakaya. Through the maturation of accumulating merit, one attains the peak of perfect enjoyment. Through the maturation of making aspirations, one attains the peak of the Nirmanakaya. Thus, the yoga of the clear light Mahamudra is the most supreme among all yogas, therefore one should strive to practice it. Fourth, the yoga of transference has three aspects: preliminary purification, examining the signs of death, and the time of transference. First, having practiced the yoga of the guru, sit in the vajra posture. Within the central channel, which is as thick as an arrow shaft, visualize a golden five-pronged vajra rising upwards from a point slightly above the twenty-one vertebrae, thereby piercing the Brahma aperture. From twenty-one to forty, recite "རྒྱངས་རྒྱངས" (Tibetan) with each exhalation. After one day, three days, or seven days, the Brahma aperture will feel hot, and in the center of the raised flesh the size of a wheel, a hole as thick as a reed will actually appear. Thus, one becomes familiar with the path of transference, and there will be no difficulty in transferring at any time. Second, examining the signs of death: the absence of the image of life in the sky, the wind flowing to the right at midnight or noon, the falling of black bindus, the simultaneous discharge of feces and urine, the absence of sound in the ears, the absence of light in the eyes, the urine splitting into two streams, dust accumulating on the upper part of the nose, the interruption of raising the hands to the eyebrows, dreaming of riding a donkey and going south, waking up, and so on. Furthermore, at the time of death or transference, the wind flows from the right, there is no image of life, there is no light in the eyes, and so on. If many signs appear simultaneously, then it is certain.
