. Abide within, prolonging the time of dwelling. At those times, not forcing with effort, from the realm of self-nature, slowly and prolongedly, constantly abide in a state of non-discrimination, eliminating obstacles of gathering fierce winds, and the occurrence of unpleasant food and drink, etc. This is very profound, so one should diligently practice. Secondly, the yoga of effort has three: preliminary heat, actual yoga, and afterwards passing away in the state of clear light. The first: the key point of the body is the lotus posture, the key point of the object is within the central channel, at the navel is the short A (Tibetan: ཨ་ཐུང་།), the essence is fire, the form is A (Tibetan: ཨ།), the sensation is extremely hot, just from burning flames, with the nectar melting from the Ham (Tibetan: ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) at the crown of the head, as fuel for the fire. Burning fiercely, with the heat of the fire pervading the four chakras, abiding in the state of expansion, the blood and essence are warmed, and bliss arises. The body does not need clothes, and whatever is seen appears warm. The actual practice: in the clear appearance of the three channels and four chakras, the white and red bindus enter the central channel, and for a moment bliss is obtained. At the lower end of the A (Tibetan: ཨ།), the red bindu gathers; at the upper end of the Ham (Tibetan: ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), the white bindu gathers, and mixes in the heart, becoming one. Again, contemplate the bindu descending from there, mixing and pervading the four chakras, and abide in the state of bliss itself. Occasionally, the upper stable one should descend in order, and the lower stable one should be reversed, and it should also be distributed in the channels. This causes unbearable bliss to arise. The latter, in the heart, the A Hum (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ་) are mixed into one, and then contracted again, transforming into a blue E (Tibetan: ཨེ), which also becomes thinner and thinner, and abides in a state of non-attention. At this time, it is called the bindu hidden in the channel, the conceptual thought hidden in the state of Dharma-nature, the bliss hidden in the state of clear light, and the clear light hidden in the state of non-grasping. No matter how one practices the bliss of the bindu, this key point is precious. Without this, there is no time to touch the path of liberation and enlightenment. Therefore, one should learn not to pass away from the state of clear light, where there is no action or effort. In other paths, relying on the bliss of the consort to descend the bindu, there are the four joys of the upper stable, holding and filling the vajra vase, being drawn by the consort, and the two mixing into one, reversing upwards, there are the four joys of the lower stable,

And those who pass into great wisdom are also included in this method. Finally, meditating on luminosity is the most profound of these. The third meaning, the yoga of luminosity mahamudra, arises from the methods of prana and effort. Is the mind clear and non-conceptual at the time of prana? It is the same whether it is bliss and non-conceptual at the time of effort. The awareness at that time is bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, which is experience. The essence is emptiness, clarity, unestablished anywhere, self-arisen without fabrication, clear and open, clear and bright, bliss without conceptuality, clarity without grasping, awareness without continuity, not distracted by objects, not clinging to mind, transcending the phenomena of what is to be meditated on and what meditates, always meditate without being distracted by grasping. The Doha says: "Water and fire, rest in their own clarity." Toktsepa says: "Liberated from what is to be meditated on and what meditates, not in the mind, mahamudra." Virupa says: "What is meditated on by the mind is not meditation, not meditating is also not meditation, transcending meditation and non-meditation, not in the mind, mahamudra." The Namnges says: "Having gathered the mind from all things, the inner self is unwavering, even when abiding, the forms seen by the eyes, the wisdom of seeing is born of the senses." The Yeshe Nangwa Gyen says: "If not examined by pervasive thoughts, the mind that does not abide, without memory and without attention, I prostrate to the objectless." The Yum says: "Rabjor, the Prajnaparamita is without memory and without attention, therefore it is like space." The Dudpa says: "Nowhere is the place, this is said by the Victorious One to be the place, where does space abide, know this meaning." Like that, when meditating, also go to the top of a mountain where things appear vast and meditate. Without gathering the mind into one point, but expanding it, meditate in a relaxed manner, wide and open. Having meditated like that, warmth signs such as bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality will arise. The Sutra says: "On the nature of the unthinkable, placing the unthinkable mind, the unthinkable experience arises." The Gyutrul says: "Completely meditating on the unsurpassed, warmth from habit"
