Focusing on meditating on what becomes increasingly subtle from the appearance of the five lights, as it says in the Chakrasamvara Tantra: "Always abiding in the heart, the single bindu is without change. For those beings who meditate on it, definite supreme wisdom will arise." Then, finally, abiding without any object of focus, some superior faculties will immediately give rise to the meaning of luminosity like the sky. By abiding in the samadhi of day and night, the state of Vajradhara is accomplished. For others, the samadhi of calm abiding will also arise. Explaining in conjunction with the second: Fire arises from the tummo at the navel, striking the round bindu with the shape of "vaṃ" (བཾ,वं,vaṃ,வம்) at the crown of the head. White essence descends, and the bliss of non-conceptuality arises. In the center of the heart, holding the mind on a lump the size of a pea, with the blue "ai" (ཨེ,ऐ,ai,ཨེ) and the "vaṃ" (བཾ,वं,vaṃ,வம்) of the crown of the head mixed together, that too becomes increasingly subtle, and finally abides in a state of non-attention. By this method, awareness turns into luminosity, and arises within emptiness, clarity, and freedom from elaboration.

Reaching from the vulva to the navel is joy. The heart center is supreme joy. From there to the throat is called coemergent joy-separation. From there to the crown of the head is coemergent joy. After that, the mind abiding in a state of non-one and non-many is abiding in the inconceivable wisdom of the nature of reality, the form of space. At that time, the father's luminosity dawns, while the mother dwells for a moment in the bliss of non-discrimination. This is said to be the essence of the method by those who have fully accomplished the great secret mantra, and it is the path of a few fortunate ones, not of all, because they have not gained mastery over the wind-mind without leakage. In particular, it should not be practiced with celibacy, because it will be stained by defeat. The Lamp for the Path says: "The secret wisdom empowerment should not be taken with celibacy." Combining sutra and tantra methods is: In sutras and treatises, holding the mind with wind and external objects as supports, this is taught to be similar to practicing calm abiding. If some think that because outer practitioners also have channels and winds, it is an inferior path, then in the Essence of the Sun Sutra and the Treasury and other sutras and treatises of the great and small vehicles, meditating on wind as an antidote to conceptual thought, which is said to generate samadhi, that would also become inferior. Therefore, sutra and tantra are consistent in the method of generating samadhi, and there is no contradiction. Now, introducing the self-luminous coemergent wisdom that is accomplished by that method, which is the very manifestation of what is inherent in oneself: The higher seeing wisdom that is accomplished by that method is: The state of clarity and bliss, whether abiding or not abiding, existence or non-existence, is or is not, the radiance that transcends designation and expression, self-awareness, free from elaboration, clear and bright, vast and limitless, without direction, like the sky, clear and bright, unmoving, like the disc of the sun and moon, free from the turbidity of all thoughts, like the ocean, self-arisen wisdom, in the luminosity of mind itself, the Dharmakaya introduced by the holy ones, coemergent, should be constantly meditated upon. Our noble and venerable lama, the glorious Chokyi Gyaltsen Rinpoche, holds this to be the wisdom of the four great seals: Previously, in the stage of wind, the clear awareness is non-conceptual, and in the stage of bindu, the blissful awareness is clear. In those two states, by gazing intently at one's own awareness.

Even in the slightest imperceptible detail, there is no abiding or not abiding. In the essence of clear emptiness, there is no being or not being, existing or not existing. That which cannot be illustrated by examples, is beyond thought and expression, self-awakened and self-aware, clear and unwavering, like the ocean. Clear and without conceptualization, like the disc of the sun and moon. Without limitation or bias, like the center of the vast sky. That self-awareness, which pacifies the proliferation of mind and mental events, is introduced as the Dharmakaya Mahamudra, the self-arisen wisdom, as well as the Great Perfection, the Great Madhyamaka, the essence of the Six Yogas, the nature of the Path and its Fruit, the pacifier that stills all proliferation, and the Prajnaparamita that is the meaning of reality. I myself have had a slight experience of this, and I have seen that it is well-documented in the sutras and tantras. In the Guhyasamaja it says: 'Non-meditation is the real meditation. Meditation itself is not meditation. Thus, through being and non-being, meditation is without object.' And in the Inconceivable Order it says: 'The distinctions of permanence and annihilation, in the true sense, are seen as non-dual. Phenomena and emptiness itself, meditate equally without duality. The differences between conventional and ultimate truth, beyond two and non-two, the great yoga of skillful means and wisdom, is said to be of one taste, without duality. The rain of wisdom of the nature of no-self, truly abides.' And in the Secret Accomplishment it says: 'The wisdom goddess is supreme. This is called Prajnaparamita. If one understands and meditates, one will be liberated from all beings.' And in the Inconceivable Order it says: 'The nature is perfectly pure and undefiled. The meaning of non-duality is most excellent. Unborn and fearless, that is the Mahamudra itself.' And in the Wisdom Accomplishment it says: 'It is said to be Samantabhadra, and it is also called Mahamudra. It is called Mirror Wisdom, and this should be understood as the Dharmakaya.' And in the Precious Wheel it says: 'The wisdom without a basis is the view of self-purification.' And in the Hevajra it says: 'Because of being and non-being, the meaning of luminosity free from elaboration, should be known as co-emergent.' And in the Wisdom
