如何才能不被死亡所胜呢？如是说。凭借威力强大的军队也无法战胜死亡，因为梵天和，帝释天和，自在天和，遍入天和，仙人和，无贪子等等威力强大者，也无法超越死亡。夜叉和，罗刹和，魔和龙等等的力量也无法逃脱死亡。用医生和学术以及占卜等等的方法也无法逃脱死亡。用秘密真言和，明咒和，神通和，他心通等等的力量也无法战胜死亡。男神和护法和空行母等等的守护也无法救护。服用精华和物品和药物的力量也无济于事，终将死亡。正如经中所说：威力巨大财富炽盛者，梵天帝释遍入天，黑暗噪音救护狮子子，彼亦无法阻挡死亡。最终行事者，药物以及，所有明咒与军队，天神护法缘起和，财富亲友亦不能救护。如是说。食物衣物受用也无法战胜死亡，天界的甘露琼浆，班扎里嘎的上妙衣物，人间的上妙百味美食，丝绸缎子上妙的各种衣物，总之，美妙的形象，悦耳的声音，芬芳的气味，美味的食物，柔软的触感等等也无法战胜死亡，最终都会迎来死亡。在《广大游舞经》中说：恒常美妙的形象和悦耳的声音，芬芳的气味上妙的美味触碰时感到舒适，这些众生落入恶劣时期的陷阱中，譬如猴子落入猎人的陷阱中一样。欲望的功德，痛苦的害处很多，是破坏者，恒常是敌人，伴随着烦恼，如同剑的利刃和毒药的叶子一样。以及在《教诫国王经》中说：大国王，譬如，我的四个方向有坚固稳定有核心没有裂开，没有损坏极其坚硬高耸的大山阻挡着，坍塌下来的时候，同时将草木森林和所有生物都磨成粉末，对于那些，没有机会凭借快速逃脱，或者用财物贿赂，或者用力量阻挡，或者用方法逃脱，或者用药物和，咒语和物品的力量来阻挡。大国王，同样，出生和，衰老和，生病和，死亡的巨大恐惧

How can one not be overcome by death? So it is said. Even with the support of a powerful army, one cannot overcome death, because Brahma, Indra, Shiva, Vishnu, sages, and the son of Sredmeda, all powerful beings, could not transcend death. The power of yakshas, rakshasas, demons, and nagas cannot escape death. One cannot escape death through the methods of doctors, academics, and divination. One cannot overcome death through the power of secret mantras, vidyas, miracles, and clairvoyance. The protection of male gods, Dharma protectors, and dakinis cannot save one. The power of elixirs, substances, and medicines is of no avail; one will eventually die. As it is said in the sutra: "The powerful, wealthy, and famous, Brahma, Indra, Vishnu, the dark noise, the savior lion cub, even they cannot prevent death. In the end, neither medicine, all vidyas and armies, gods, protectors, auspicious connections, wealth, nor relatives can save one from the act of death." So it is said. Food, clothing, and possessions cannot overcome death; the nectar of the gods, the finest clothes of Pancalika, the finest hundred-flavored foods of humans, various silk and fine fabrics, in short, beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, delicious tastes, soft touches, etc., cannot overcome death; one will eventually meet one's end. In the Extensive Play Sutra, it is said: "Constantly beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, excellent tastes, comfortable touches, these beings are caught in the trap of bad times, like monkeys caught in the trap of a hunter. The qualities of desire have much suffering and harm, they are destroyers, constantly enemies, accompanied by afflictions, like the sharp edge of a sword and the leaves of poison." And in the Sutra of Advice to the King, it is said: "Great King, for example, if great, solid, stable, and substantial mountains, uncracked, undamaged, extremely hard and high, blocked me from four directions, and collapsed, grinding all grass, trees, forests, and living beings into powder at once, there would be no opportunity to escape quickly, or to bribe with wealth, or to resist with strength, or to escape by means, or to resist with the power of medicine, mantras, and substances.
