It is not clear! If that vase is broken, just as everything appears. When the Vajra of Samadhi destroys all obscurations, then the ultimate expanse of the sky becomes clear. So it is said. The third example is: Just as the Sugata's body exists within the lotus, but because of the lotus's covering, it is not visible outside. Similarly, because the thousand petals of grasping and being grasped obscure it, the self-illuminating Lord of the Conquerors cannot be seen. When the petals open and become clear, when one is liberated from the lotus petals of the illusion of grasping and being grasped, the three bodies of enlightenment will appear within oneself. Just as a body exists within the lotus, and it is seen when the lotus opens, similarly, the essence of self-origination appears when all obscurations are liberated. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: Just as the Lord of the Sugatas in the lotus is seen by those with divine eyes, and is taken out from the bud of the water-born lotus, similarly, his obscurations are completely removed. So it is said. Now, to summarize the meaning. Therefore, know that the Dharmadhatu, the ultimate luminosity, is the reality that exists within oneself. Without difference between all sentient beings and Buddhas, because of the essence of the Buddha, it pervades without increase or decrease, therefore, know that this nature of reality, the basis of liberation, is spontaneously accomplished. Those who take such a view as definitive, and who consider emptiness to be the ultimate truth devoid of elaboration, fall into the extreme of nihilism. If there is no basis for separation, then upon what are the names of Buddhahood, increase, liberation, and transcendence to be posited? Without a basis, it cannot be the basis for anything, therefore, the ultimate aspect of being devoid of elaboration has no basis for separation. Therefore, this meaning is the definitive essence, so those who desire liberation should seize the peak of the basis to be realized and the views. Now, in order to dispel confusion about terminology, the distinctions of names are explained: This has many names, it is called Dhatu because of the arising of Samsara and Nirvana; it is called Self-existing Spontaneity because it has always existed; it is called the Essence of the Tathagatagarbha because it is obscured by defilements; it is called the Ultimate Truth because it is the nature of reality; it is called Primordial Purity, Luminosity, and Immaculate because it has been pure from the beginning; it is called the Middle Way's Nature because it eliminates the two extremes; it is called Prajnaparamita because it transcends elaboration; Emptiness and Clarity, the pure and indivisible Truth; it is called Dharmata Suchness because it is immutable. And so on, (only) wise people with eyes (can distinguish).

They consider it in this way. The self-knowing, self-arisen wisdom, spontaneously accomplished in the expanse, has definite categories of names: From the aspect of realizing it, one transcends suffering, and from the aspect of not realizing it, cyclic existence arises, it is called "expanse." It is called "the supreme of mind," as it is said in the Dohā: The nature of mind alone is the seed of all things, In which existence and the flow of transcendence of suffering, Bestowing the fruit of desires, I prostrate to the mind like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Thus it is. From the aspect of being naturally present, uncreated from the beginning, it is called "the Buddha of spontaneous accomplishment." Because it fully possesses all the qualities of the Buddha, it is called "the essence of the Sugata." From the aspect of being obscured by impurities, it is called "the ālaya of meaning" and "dhātu." Because it is the nature of reality, it is called "ultimate truth." Because it is pure from the beginning, it is called "the wisdom of clear light." Because it transcends the extremes of affirmation and negation, it is called "the nature of profound emptiness, the Middle Way." In the Ornament of Realization, it says: Profound is that which is liberated from the extremes of affirmation and negation. In this way. Because it is liberated from the extremes of all elaborations, it is called "Prajñāpāramitā." In that very text, it says: Not this shore, not the other shore, not the extremes, Not dwelling in between them, Knowing all times as equal, Therefore, it is called Prajñāpāramitā. Thus it is. And in the Mother Sutra, it says: Blessed One, this Prajñāpāramitā is free from all elaborations. Thus it is. Because it is emptiness and clarity, non-dual, it is called "indivisible truth." Because it is without change, it is called "dharmatā, suchness." Moreover, just as the changes of the four elements appear in the space, but the space does not change, similarly, in the nature of self-arisenness, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases appear as birth and death, but that nature does not change. In this, faults can be purified and known to be absent, therefore it is empty; qualities are inseparable, therefore it is not empty. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: It is characterized by distinctions, The element is empty of adventitious stains; It is characterized by non-distinction, It is not empty of the supreme Dharma. Thus it is. This principle is the view of the wise who have expanded on the meaning of the heart of the sutras and tantras with the eye of intelligence. Now, refuting the inverted wrong views: Not understanding this principle, considering emptiness to be utter annihilation, in words,
