From the perspective of wisdom that transcends thought, the Ornament of Clear Realization states, "The qualities of purity, self-mastery, bliss, and permanence are the result of the perfection that goes beyond." That is to say, upon a pristine quality that was previously nonexistent, it cannot be established or posited. Apart from being merely temporary, inherent faults or stains cannot be removed. Therefore, the notion of faults being eliminated and moving outward, and qualities coming inward, does not exist. This is the meaning of the true reality, which can be liberated through realization or seeing. The Ornament of Clear Realization states, "In this, there is nothing to be removed, nor is there anything to be established, even slightly. In the true nature, look at the true nature. Having seen the true nature, one is completely liberated." Such a nature, because it transcends the realm of conventional cessation and differentiation, transcends the imputed two truths, so all elaborations are pacified. Because the imputed ultimate truth is not established, it is said that the ultimate truth is without distinction. It cannot be said to be established in the conventional and not established in the ultimate, because the wisdom of the luminous sphere is spontaneously accomplished and extremely pure. Although it is called great, because there are no appearances and emptiness, two truths as asserted by philosophical tenets, it is said that the ultimate truth is without distinction. The Root Tantra of Magical Illusion states, "Ultimate and conventional are without distinction, in the great mandala of equality." Just as it is, if the appearance of the two truths imputed in name is also without distinction, then what need is there to say about the essence of the luminous nature? Just as when the sun appears, even if dust is raised, it will not diminish, nor will it be brighter if dust is not raised. It is bright in appearance, so the sun has no such distinctions; it is merely an imposition of one's own discriminating mind. If it existed, worldly people should also be able to see it, because when seeing the sun, one should also be able to see the two truths that exist in the sun.

Just as the light that exists in the (empty) sky is clearly visible. So, if the two truths commonly spoken of in terminology are combined with this, how should the two truths be established? The answer is: merely through convention and following the (worldly) gate, If it is established as a branch of understanding terminology, then distinguish the two truths of terminology with reason: Thus, all the phenomena of samsara that appear as illusions, Because of their untruthfulness and deceptiveness, belong to the conventional truth; The profound, peaceful, luminous, and nirvanic phenomena, The unchanging nature, are considered the ultimate truth. Thus, obscuring the essence of meaning, the luminous, The alaya consciousness, the eight aggregates of various karmic imprints, The appearances of karmic imprints, the various appearances of external forms and other objects, and all the aspects of the inner mind, because they are all samsara, are established as the conventional truth because of their deceptiveness and lack of real meaning; while the spontaneously accomplished luminosity of the ground is established as the ultimate truth. For example, like clouds and the sun, the place obscured by light is the ultimate truth, and the obscuring phenomena of samsara, the aggregates, elements, and sources, are the conventional truth. Such obscurations appear but have no inherent existence, so the light is not tainted. Because distinction requires mixing, but there is no mixing with one or different, it is established as the undifferentiated truth: Conventional appearances are so various, Like illusions, water moons, emanations, and reflections, Whatever appears without inherent existence, If examined deeply, has no basis in reality, Like the sky, empty and devoid of characteristics, If not examined, it is pleasing and varied, like various illusions. Arising from the interdependent origination of karmic illusions, Like the appearance of Datura flowers. The various appearances of the conventional do not exist in reality, and like water moons, they destroy their own nature. If examined, they do not exist, but if not examined, they seem to exist, so they are called illusions. Just as Datura flowers cause illusions and various appearances. Illusion is the dharma of the conventional. These dharmas are empty of inherent existence and selflessness, Because that itself is its reality, So it is called the ultimate truth, and the appearance aspect is the conventional truth. From the moment of appearance, birth and so on are not established, So the nature is such, and the truths are inseparable. The conventional, like water moons, is empty in nature, which is the ultimate truth, and the appearance aspect is the conventional truth. They are also called the two truths of terminology, But these two are not established as different and separate entities in essence.
