As it is said in the Sutra Requested by Action: All happiness and joy in the world come from offering to the Three Jewels. Therefore, one should always diligently make offerings to the Three Jewels. Even offering a cup of water is considered an offering. One should believe that the Three Jewels are always present. That is to say, different types of virtuous deeds, such as the ten practices; different times of practice, such as moments, instants, months, and years; different natures of practice, such as with or without characteristics; different methods of practice, such as difficult or easy; different places of practice, such as in solitary or non-solitary places. For virtuous deeds, one should not have choices, contentment, or good or bad distinctions, but should practice them all. Just as anything can become wealth for a rich person, anything can become Dharma for a practitioner, so one should strive. Whether with or without characteristics, it depends on one's own mind. If the mind is attached, even if one meditates on emptiness, one will be bound by the characteristics of emptiness. If the mind is vast, even if one makes prostrations and offerings, one will realize its baseless, illusory nature. Therefore, it will become a companion to the Dharma. So, one should always spend time with virtuous deeds. Now, the benefits arising from contemplating the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment: Abandon this life, diligently pursue the next life, burning like fire. Do not waste leisure time, spend time with virtue, and quickly cross the ocean of the three realms of existence. Thus, contemplating the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment day and night, even though its benefits are immeasurable, if summarized, it is: Recognizing that everything done in this life is meaningless, no longer clinging to it. Accepting the wishes of the next life, acting in a way that does not contradict cause and effect. Constantly striving, burning like fire, diligently listening, contemplating, and meditating. Abandoning evil friends, always engaging in virtuous deeds, so that oneself abides in virtue. Abandoning the desire for samsara, not wasting leisure, and being filled with joy at the time of death. Untying the knot of miserliness, from the provisions of generosity, wherever one is born, being free from poverty. Always being content, not being attached to wealth, and aligning body, speech, and mind with the Dharma. Realizing that everything is meaningless, that what is done is meaningless, and cutting off the bonds of attachment. Knowing that everything will pass away, eliminating the pain of strife.

Now, from the depths of one's heart, do good, seeing all actions as futile, causing the wall of conformity to collapse and the mountain of the eight worldly concerns to crumble. Grasping the path to liberation, practice the supreme Dharma properly, and swiftly attain Buddhahood. From the Great Vehicle's quintessential teachings, the treatise "The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury," the commentary on the thirteenth chapter, "Reflecting on the Difficulty of Obtaining Leisure and Endowment," is complete. Chapter Fourteen: Commentary on the Chapter "Reflecting on the Impermanence of Life." Having thus explained the basis of leisure and endowment, encouraging Dharma practice through reflecting on impermanence is as follows, in the manner described: Having thus obtained the extremely difficult-to-obtain leisure and endowment, it is nevertheless momentary and impermanent, possessing the nature of decay. The three realms are like illusions, ultimately deceiving us. The leisure and endowment obtained through the power of previous virtuous practice, This leisure and endowment is rarely obtained even once in a hundred times. Even if obtained, it is not to be trusted, for one will inevitably die soon. In the words on impermanence, it is said: "Thus, for all beings who are born, death stands before them. I too am not exempt from this. Today, I should practice the Dharma." Thus it is said, no matter where one is born in the three realms and six paths, all are drowning in the river of birth and death, the waves of suffering are turbulent, and they are seized by the demon of impermanence. As it is said in the Extensive Play Sutra: "The three realms are impermanent, like autumn clouds. Beings wander like the moon in water. The life of beings flows like a waterfall from a cliff. All conditioned things are like watching a dance." Thus it is said. Now, to extensively explain the nature of impermanence, first, to determine what is the essence of impermanence: Thus, the outer world, adorned with the wealth of the four continents, is an example of impermanence and decay. One should also understand the body, like a collection of bubbles. The seemingly stable appearance that is roughly visible is the outer world. In general, it is equal to the edge of space. Specifically, this world realm, adorned with the wealth of Mount Meru and the four great continents, appearing as the three thousand great thousand world systems, is also impermanent in subtle moments. From the end of an eon, it declines and the times change. This roughly visible world will eventually disappear and the time will come when it becomes one space. My fields, houses, land, wealth, possessions, relatives, and the body of flesh and blood, matured by karma, like a collection of bubbles,
