The suspicion of jealousy among friends, the strongest is the mountain of the eight worldly concerns, the weakest is the behavior without learning. The faults of mixing Dharma with one's own mind are extremely numerous, therefore obtaining the holy Dharma of liberation is extremely difficult. The Vinaya Sutra says: \"Giving up household affairs, big and small, is difficult at first to become a renunciate.\" It also says: \"If one has become a renunciate but has not become a vessel of merit, even though one has shaved one's hair and beard, one has not entered the conduct of a Shramana. This renunciation is neither a true renunciation nor a householder, like a well without water, like a lamp in a painting.\" Furthermore, as the former says: \"A householder, for the sake of desire, will die without ever being satisfied.\" Therefore, if one practices the Dharma properly, it is crucial to turn away from worldly appearances." , "english_translation": "Grasp with mindfulness and awareness, urging oneself not to be distracted: Always be mindful and aware, contemplating leisure and endowment, practice liberation and enlightenment. Having obtained such a rare leisure and endowment, if one does not grasp the path to liberation in this life, it is worse than returning empty-handed from the Golden Land, therefore one must practice profound Dharma, and in any case, grasp the path to liberation. In all six times of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, with the mindfulness of not forgetting familiar things, and the awareness of distinguishing meaningful and meaningless things, grasp these key points. In order not to let the six consciousnesses be distracted by external objects, urge oneself: For example, if one does not cross the river when one has a boat, then one will not be able to cross it later, how will one cross it then? One must strive when one obtains the boat of leisure and endowment. The Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: \"This boat is difficult to obtain later, fools, do not sleep.\" Similarly, when one has an intelligent steed, one must travel a long road; when warmth, moisture, and fertilizer are abundant, one must sow seeds; when one has an army of warriors, one must subdue enemies; when a treasure of gold and silver appears, one must obtain it; when the autumn harvest ripens, one must reap it; when there is an escort in a dangerous place, one must rescue; when one has borrowed tools, one must be diligent." } ] ============================================================

Just as one works hard when generating (bodhicitta) and doing the work of a servant. Now that we have obtained the precious human body with leisure and opportunity, we must diligently practice Dharma without any idleness, because impermanence comes quickly. Thinking about this, there is no time to spare even between sleeping and breathing, and we should diligently practice Dharma. As the venerable Marme Dze Yeshe said: This life is like being struck by a strong wind, as impermanent as a water bubble. It is a great wonder if one can wake up between breaths. As it is said. It shows the reason why one should strive to engage in meaningful activities: Even when walking, standing, sitting, lying down, and eating, one should abandon the six faults such as laziness, and accomplish the great purpose of higher rebirth and definite goodness, just like a hungry person seeing food. Day and night, one should diligently engage in virtuous activities. In all situations such as walking, standing, sitting, lying down, waking up, eating, seeing the confused appearances of external objects, and speaking, one should restrain laziness, idleness, negligence, distraction, busyness, and the unpacified aspects of body, speech, and mind, including the unpredicted. I have entered the sublime Dharma of the Great Vehicle, and I am not the same as these ordinary people, so I must strictly guard my mind. Now, has any negativity arisen? Be vigilant at all times. If it has arisen, confess and restrain it. If it has not arisen, cultivate joy. In this way, for virtuous deeds with and without signs, one must not choose in any situation, but must do them. For example, a hungry person eats whatever food is available, a thirsty person drinks whatever water is found when suffering from thirst, a poor person holds whatever wealth is obtained, a skilled doctor accumulates whatever medicine is obtained, a blind person cherishes and raises whatever child is born, and a person in danger seeks whatever protection is found. Likewise, one should diligently engage in any virtuous activity. This is with signs, I am a great practitioner, I cannot do these things. Do not waste time under the pretext of having nothing to do with Dharma, and do not be fond of sleeping. One should diligently engage in prostrations, circumambulations, reading scriptures, recitations, mantras, samadhi, offerings to the Three Jewels, and so on. Like the boy Nang.
