Through the emanation and reabsorption of vowels and consonants, the four activities are accomplished. As stated in the *Illusion Sutra*: "A(ཨ,Devanagari: अ,Romanized Sanskrit: a,Literal meaning: A), from the perfectly stable white A(ཨ,Devanagari: अ,Romanized Sanskrit: a,Literal meaning: A), emanate extremely subtle A's(ཨ,Devanagari: अ,Romanized Sanskrit: a,Literal meaning: A). Even when reabsorbed, it remains stable without increase or decrease. This is the cause of the stable arising of wisdom for Vajra accomplishment." And so on. Then, in the completion stage, the emanation and reabsorption of letters are placed in a state of non-objectification. That is, the letter of mind-essence abides in the unborn nature of A(ཨ,Devanagari: अ,Romanized Sanskrit: a,Literal meaning: A), from which the letters of the root-location chakras gather like clouds, forming the mandala of speech-secret mantra, from which all sounds of beings arise, and the letters become hand seals, from which illusory bodies and the bodies of beings arise. The essence of letters is unborn, from which the mind-dharmakaya non-dual vajra arises, as well as the conceptual mind of beings, cognitive sense consciousness, and non-conceptual consciousness. Therefore, all dharmas abide in the gate of letters. As it says in the scripture: "Mind-essence is the nature of letters, letters are wish-fulfilling jewel clouds." And in the *Mother Sutra*: "A(ཨ,Devanagari: अ,Romanized Sanskrit: a,Literal meaning: A) is called unborn, therefore it is the gate of all dharmas." There are also three types of letters: the spontaneously accomplished letters of self-nature, which are the clear light mind-essence; the letters of the body-abiding channels, which are the deity seed syllables of vowels and consonants; and the letters of sound-meaning symbols, which are the appearance of general sound and general meaning designated as letters, and their prototypes, such as written Lantsa, Devanagari, and Tibetan letters. Focusing on the letters, stabilize, then visualize the hand seals; after the hand seals are stable, visualize the single deity; then visualize the ornaments; then visualize the mother; then visualize the palace and retinue mandala; then visualize the emanation and reabsorption of light rays, and so on. This is the samadhi of the first mandala, and after completing the three stages of the accumulation path, one sees the face of the nirmanakaya, obtains the samadhi of the dharma stream, and accomplishes clairvoyance and subtle direct perception. Then, from the top of the four directional doors and the five protrusions in the center, emanate the mandala, and in the clean room, visualize one complete mandala like that of Vairochana. Previously, having visualized the wrathful deity mandala, then visualize the peaceful deity there, and having visualized the peaceful deity as the wrathful deity, one obtains the heat of the joining path. Then, in the horse-headed room above the east door, visualize Akshobhya, thereby obtaining the peak. In the room of the back door, visualize Amitabha, thereby obtaining forbearance.

In the right gate chamber, Ratnasambhava teaches the supreme Dharma. Then, in the north gate chamber, by meditating on the mandala of Amoghasiddhi, one attains the Path of Seeing and obtains twelve hundredfold qualities. That is, seeing the faces of a hundred Buddhas in a single moment, and so on. Then, when the meditation on twelve thousand such mandalas is completed, one attains the Second Bhumi. With twelve kotis (one koti equals ten million), one attains the Third Bhumi. With one hundred kotis of kotis, one attains the Fourth Bhumi. With one thousand kotis of kotis, one attains the Fifth Bhumi. With one hundred thousand kotis of kotis, one attains the Sixth Bhumi. By meditating on countless kotis of kotis, one attains the Seventh Bhumi. With vast expansion, one attains the Eighth Bhumi. With measurement, one attains the Ninth Bhumi. With the completion of the meditation on countless, spontaneously accomplished mandalas, one attains the Tenth Bhumi. Finally, Vajradhara Samantabhadra Heruka's masters empower one, thereby perfecting the dominion as the King of Dharma in the three realms. That is, the four chakras that branch out from the three channels: the central channel, the left channel, and the right channel: The crown chakra, the chakra of great bliss; the throat chakra, the chakra of enjoyment; the heart chakra, the Dharma chakra; and the navel chakra, the emanation chakra. There are twenty-one knots in the central, left, and right channels. When the prana and mind become workable, and the accumulation of merit and wisdom is perfected, the knots gradually unravel during the three times of death. From the union of prana and mind, the four wisdoms of appearance, increase, attainment, and near attainment arise, as well as the collections of qualities such as samadhi and clairvoyance. When the first two knots are untied, starting from the First Bhumi, each time two knots are untied, one attains one Bhumi, and when the twenty-first knot is untied, one attains Vajradhara. When the navel chakra's knot is untied, the prana and mind become workable, thereby accomplishing the Nirmanakaya; the throat chakra accomplishes the Sambhogakaya; the heart chakra accomplishes the Dharmakaya; and the crown chakra accomplishes the Mahasukha Kaya. The purification of the fields and the manifestation of qualities such as eyes and clairvoyance also arise from the inner prana and mind penetrating the essential point. At the time of the completion of the accumulation, the prana and mind will penetrate the essential point. Therefore, the generation stage and the completion stage are practiced alternately, and by engaging in practices such as the tsok khorlo (feast gathering), one purifies the bad prana and mind and propels the good prana and mind into the essential point.
