The most important thing is being naked without clothes, which is the inner path. The difference in actions is that bathing and cleanliness are most important for the outer path, while being defiled and unclean does not harm the inner path. The difference in the time of fruition has already been explained. The difference in the deities of the mandala is that the outer path does not contemplate deities in union, while the inner path contemplates the union of father and mother. The difference in the adornments is that silk and precious jewels are the most important adornments for the outer path, while bones and human skulls are the most important adornments for the inner path. The difference in the place of residence is that the outer path contemplates in clean and secluded places such as the top of Mount Meru, while the inner path contemplates in Oddiyana (the birthplace of Padmasambhava, located in present-day Pakistan) or charnel grounds. The difference in the pouring vessel is that the outer path contemplates in precious vessels or lotus seats, while the inner path mainly uses skull cups. The difference in activities is that the outer path mainly shows pacifying and increasing activities, while the inner path mainly shows subjugating and wrathful activities. This inner path is also divided into father unsurpassed, mother unsurpassed, non-dual, and threefold, but they all converge on the two aspects of view and tenets, namely the father tantra of means and the mother tantra of wisdom. The former is the elaboration of the generation stage of means, and the completion stage mainly shows the winds; in the mother tantra, the generation stage only occupies a part, and the completion stage solely shows the bindu. The common rule for both of these is that one should not practice the path without first receiving empowerment, as it is said in the Great Seal of Union Bindu Tantra: 'Without empowerment, there is no accomplishment, just as there is no oil even if you squeeze sand.' Also, as it is said in the Buddha Skull Tantra: 'If one lacks the correct empowerment, even if the practitioner understands the meaning of the tantra, the teacher and disciple will equally fall into a terrible hell.' Therefore, the initial gateway is to value obtaining empowerment (1). That is, for a qualified lama, one's own mind desiring liberation, immediately after fully receiving empowerment, grasps the path to liberation, so one is qualified to practice the initial path, the small accumulation path. After that, when one begins to practice the generation stage and completion stage, the differences such as contemplating the body as a deity are the practice of the meaning of mindfulness and awareness. After that, gradually practicing the joining and seeing paths to completion, one can accomplish the supreme Buddha ground in a single mandala. According to the characteristics, even after obtaining the mind of enlightenment, mindfulness and

If one cultivates with faith, one will enter the path of liberation and desire to embark on the beginning of three countless eons. As stated in the Compendium of Vehicles: "Those with the power of goodness and aspiration, Bodhisattvas for three countless eons, constantly begin to practice." Even today, many are cultivating the path to liberation. Those who understand in other ways have merely not seen the intention of the scriptures. In these two sets of Father and Mother Tantras, in whichever mandala the deity's form is predominantly male, adorned with silk and precious jewels, with upper and lower garments, that is mainly the Father Tantra. If the deity's form is predominantly female, naked, adorned with bone ornaments, smeared with ashes, etc., that is mainly the Mother Tantra. Furthermore, if the central main deity changes, but the main consort does not, that is the Yoga Father Tantra. The single Dhatvishvari alone can become the main deity of the mandalas of Vairochana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi. The body mandala is Vairochana, speech is Amitabha, mind is Akshobhya, qualities are Ratnasambhava, and activity is the mandala of Amoghasiddhi, while the mother is only Dhatvishvari. Similarly, if the central main consort changes, but the main deity does not, that is the Mother Tantra. The way the main deity changes is the same as the meaning of the actions of the five families. Why does the main deity change? Because whichever deity the flower falls upon, that deity's family is made the main deity, which is called the near mandala, because the practice is easy to approach. By fully practicing the family and mandala of whichever of the four activities one wants to accomplish, one can quickly attain the supreme state. That is, body of body, speech of body, mind of body, qualities of body, and activity of body, each of these five is further divided into five, making a total of twenty-five. Since the types of the five wisdoms are also divided into so many, by connecting these two twenty-fives with each other, the types of body and wisdom mandalas become a hundred, and change into thousands, millions, billions, and spontaneously accomplished mandalas beyond comprehension. That is, gradually, first focus on the seed syllable. Meditate on it until it becomes stable. Then, from the seed syllable of the main deity being meditated upon, such as (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) or (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), radiate and gather the seed syllables of the retinue.
