Not admitting. Because existence and non-existence are contradictory to things. The tenets that have not grasped this are not the tenets of the Great Madhyamaka. Third, to gather the meaning in agreement is: Both of those only see the conforming aspects of their respective sides, and do not see the non-conforming aspects. It is in vain that the meaning of the scriptures is not understood. However, both faults exist whether admitted or not. Because it is not a vow fixed on one side, it should be understood here as follows: Admitting and not admitting exist in conventional truth, but for the Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgika, there is no arena for debate about admitting or not admitting in ultimate truth. Therefore, for the time being, in conventional terms, it should be understood as admitting and not admitting according to the distinction of occasions. That is also when debating and taking ultimate truth as the object, since no appearance has inherent existence, and because there is no admission of existence in its nature, it is not something to be admitted. When the path of subsequent attainment takes conventionality as its object, as explained in the scriptures, knowing that it is just a tenet of dreams and illusions with various distinctions, one should also analyze and contemplate oneself, and also teach others. By distinguishing the aspects of what to adopt and abandon, one enters the Madhyamaka path of the two accumulations, and there is a need to attain the two bodies of the result. First, it is also said when not admitting. If I have some vows, etc. Second, when admitting, the master Candrakīrti says in the Clear Words: Just as one who desires water takes a vessel, one must first unhesitatingly admit conventional truth. In the commentary on the Engaging in (the Bodhisattva Deeds), it says: Thinking that this side is considered by the wise to be without fault and endowed with qualities, one should unhesitatingly admit it. The earlier people did not distinguish these two systems, and it seems that Bhāviveka does not admit, while Śāntarakṣita admits, because in both, one has identified respective advantages and disadvantages, and it seems that the meaning of the scriptures as they are has not been slightly understood. This is because the eye has been opened by the discriminating wisdom and the sight of many scriptures, and thus the meaning hidden and scattered in the scriptures has been clearly revealed. From now on, all those who are able to make these vows should know that they have understood the strength of my treatise. They have already explained the style of the Great Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgika. In summary, the vehicle of reasoning has been established. Now is the system of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana.

The explanation of the ground is: The result is the Secret Mantra Vajrayana itself, which surpasses the causal Dharma with many distinctions. In the practice of the Great Vehicle, there are two types of Great Vehicle: the Paramita and the Secret Mantra. Therefore, the desire for unsurpassed enlightenment for the benefit of sentient beings is the same, but achieving liberation through a long period of time is the Characteristic Vehicle, while achieving it within one lifetime or up to sixteen lifetimes is the Secret Mantra. This is spoken in terms of the two types of faculties: sharp and very sharp. Furthermore, from the perspective of the causal Characteristic Vehicle, it is believed that the essence of the Sugata-garbha exists merely as a seed, and through the accumulation of the two sets of conditions, it develops further, thereby attaining Buddhahood. Therefore, it is called the Causal Vehicle because it acknowledges the sequence of cause and effect. The essence of mantra is that all sentient beings inherently possess vast qualities that are spontaneously perfect and complete, like the sun, which is the basis for purification. The nature of samsara to be purified, including the eight consciousnesses and the alaya-consciousness, is like being obscured by clouds. The method of purification involves receiving empowerment and meditating on the generation and completion stages, gradually purifying like dispelling clouds, thereby achieving temporary qualities. The result of purification is that the alaya-consciousness of meaning, like the sun, becomes manifest as it is. At that time, because there is no previous defilement, the name of the alaya-consciousness, along with its habitual tendencies, ceases, but the meaning is clear without any distinction between before and after. The Two Inquiries state: 'Sentient beings are Buddhas, but are obscured by adventitious stains. If those stains are removed, they are Buddhas.' The Ornament of the Sutras also states: 'Although there is no difference between before and after, the Suchness is purified.' As it is explained. There is another difference: although the goal of achieving Buddhahood is the same, there is a difference between being confused and not confused in the way of practice. In the Characteristic Vehicle, there is confusion about the wisdom that arises from reversing the clinging to the truth of external appearances, such as meditating on illusion; confusion about the meaning of abiding because the internal aggregates are not recognized as deities; confusion about the nature of the path because secret thoughts and afflictions are not recognized as wisdom; and confusion about the view of realization because everything is not recognized as pure, equal, and inseparable from the truth. In mantra, the five elements that appear externally are the five mothers, the five aggregates that appear internally are the five fathers, and thoughts are the nature of Bodhisattvas.
