There are three ways of establishing: the basis is the Middle Way of the two truths, the path is the Middle Way of the two accumulations, and the result is the Middle Way of the two bodies. The first has five points: the nature of the two truths, the etymology, the definition, the division, and the purpose. The nature is that all phenomena are without inherent existence. The nature of the conventional is the object of thought by mind and senses, and the nature of the ultimate is the wisdom of self-awareness, which is free from the extremes of elaboration. Both truths are without inherent existence. As it says in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: Because both truths are without inherent existence, they are neither permanent nor annihilated. If you think that self-awareness and mind are one, it is true that you are confused about the terms. However, mind here refers to conceptual thought, and mind is considered to be conventional. As it says. The objects of conceptual thought, senses, and attention are all conventional, because they are all delusions. Self-awareness is non-delusive wisdom, beyond speech, thought, and expression. As it says in the Praise to the Mother by Rahula: Inexpressible, unthinkable, beyond words, gone beyond wisdom, unborn, unceasing, the nature of space itself, the realm of self-awareness wisdom, I prostrate to the mother of the Buddhas of the three times. As it says. As it says in the Praise of Names: Self-awareness, unmoving, the first of the supreme, possessing the three bodies. As it says. To regard mind and self-awareness as one in nature is the view of the Mind-Only school, and it is out of place here. The etymology is that what appears as illusion but is without inherent existence is conventional. For the time being, in the face of delusion, the characteristics of each do not deceive, so it is called truth, that is, in the object of mind, with various appearances and all the parts of clinging to reality. As it says in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: Because ignorance obscures its own nature, it is conventional. Therefore, whatever is fabricated appears as true, the Victorious One said that it is conventional truth. As it says. The object of appearance, whether true or false, deluded or not, is not established, because it is without inherent existence. However, the mind thinks that this is appearance, this is sense, this is knowledge, and this is dharma. Therefore, when clinging to the grasper and the grasped, the part of the grasped is considered to be conventional. The etymology of the ultimate truth is that it is the meaning to be sought, and it is true that it does not deceive in the dharma of the path and the result. As it says in the Mother Sutra:

Should be practiced and meditated upon. From complete meditation, one should attain the unsurpassed Dharma. Therefore, the ultimate truth for Bodhisattvas is the Prajnaparamita. The nature is the essence of Dharma and Dharmata being equal, transcending the nature of elaboration, and being devoid of mind and characteristics. As stated in the Root Wisdom: 'Not knowing from others is peaceful, without distinctions of different meanings, not elaborated by elaborations, that is the nature of the Tathagata.' Thus it is said. The nature of conventional truth is the Dharma that does not go beyond the realm of the mind, and cannot withstand analysis. The nature of ultimate truth is the Dharmata that transcends the realm of the mind, and the object of focus is pacified. Not being able to withstand analysis is unreasonable, because it has already been refuted before. The divisions are twofold: conventional and ultimate. As stated in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: 'The truth of the world-knowing ones is twofold, you have not heard it from others, but have seen it yourself.' Thus it is said. Conventional, following the worldly expressions of truth and falsehood, as a branch of understanding expressions. True conventional is the appearance in the realm of the six unimpaired senses: forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile objects, and dharmas. False conventional is the appearance disturbed by impairments, such as blurred vision and hair nets. As stated in the Entering the Middle Way: 'Whatever is the object of the six unimpaired senses, the world knows it to be true, the rest is measured by the world, and is said to be inverted and false.' Thus it is said. The purpose is, as stated in the Two Truths: 'If one knows the difference between the two truths, one will not be confused by the teachings of the Able One, and all of them will accumulate merit, and go to the perfect shore.' Thus it is said. The Middle Way's two accumulations are: Here, relying on the conventional truth, practice the means of accumulating merit, such as the six perfections. Relying on wisdom, meditate on the meaning of the wisdom light of the ultimate truth. Light is the pacification of the activity of mind and mental factors, the meaning of being free from elaboration, the inner knowing wisdom. As stated in the Eight Thousand Verses: 'Mind has no mind, the nature of mind is light.' Thus it is said. How to practice its meaning? Sit in the vajra posture on a comfortable cushion, take refuge and generate the mind.
