རྒྱུད་འགྲོལ་ལ་མཁས། །ཚེ་འདིས་འཁོར་བའི་ཆུ་བོ་སྒྲོལ་ནུས་པ། །དེད་དཔོན་ཡིད་བཞིན་སྨན་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ནི། །ཀུན་ལས་འཕགས་ཕྱིར་མཚུངས་མེད་གུས་པས་བསྟེན། །ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཚད་མེད་པས་འབྲེལ་ཚད་དོན་དང་ལྡན་པ། ཐེག་པའི་རིམ་པ་ལ་མཁས་པས་ཐར་ལམ་གང་མོས་ལ་འགོད་པ། མས་འཛེག་ལམ་རིམ་ལ་མཁས་པས་བློ་དམན་དགེ་སྦྱོར་ལ་འཛུད་པ། ཐར་ལམ་གྱི་དམར་ཁྲིད་ཟབ་མོས་རང་གནས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་སྐུ་རང་ངོ་ཅེར་མཐོང་དུ་སྤྲོད་པ། རྩལ་སྦྱོངས་ཀྱི་བོགས་འདོན་ཟབ་མོས་ཡོན་ཏན་གོང་འཕེལ་དུ་བསྐྱེད་པ། མཐར་ཕྱིན་རྟོགས་པ་མངའ་བས་གདུལ་བྱར་ཡིན་ལུགས་ཀྱི་རྟོགས་པ་བསྐྱེད་པ། ཐབས་ལམ་ཟབ་མོ་མངའ་བས་གང་ཡང་ལམ་དུ་སྒྱུར་བ། སྣ་ཚོགས་གདམས་པ་མང་བས་ཤེས་རྒྱུད་འགྲོལ་བར་མཁས་པ། མཐོང་ཐོས་མྱོང་བ་ཆེ་བས་བདུད་དང་གོལ་ས་གཅོད་པར་ མཁས་པ། ཡང་རྩེའི་དགོངས་པ་མངའ་བས་ཤེས་རྒྱུད་མཐའ་དག་འགྲོལ་བར་བྱེད་པ་སྟེ། གསང་བ་ཡིད་བཞིན་མཆོག་གི་རྒྱུད་ལས། མཁས་ཤིང་གཞན་བདེ་བྱེད་ལ་བརྩོན། །མཐར་ཕྱིན་དོན་ལ་བློ་གྲོས་འབྱོར། །ལམ་གྱུར་ཤེས་རྒྱུད་འགྲོལ་ལ་མཁས། །བདུད་དང་གོལ་ས་གཅོད་ལ་མཁས། །བླ་མེད་སྙིང་པོ་བླ་མའི་འཆོས། །ཞེས་སོ། །དེ་ལྟར་ཇི་སྐད་བསྟན་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་ཀུན་དང་ལྡན་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཉིད་ཡིན་པར་ངེས་ཤེས་བསྐྱེད་ལ་བསྟེན་ནོ། །དེ་ཡང་སྙིགས་མའི་དུས་སུ་དེ་ཐམས་ཅད་འཛོམས་པར་དཀའ་བས། ཡོན་ཏན་དྲུག་མན་ཆད་ལྡན་པ་ནི། བླ་མར་ངེས་པས་གཟུང་ལ་བསྟེན་པར་བྱའོ། །དེ་ལྟ་བུའི་བླ་མ་དམ་པ་མཆོག་ཏུ་དད་པས་བསྟེན་པར། དགོངས་འདུས་ལས། བླ་མེད་སྙིང་པོར་སྨིན་པའི་རྐྱེན། །ལམ་སྟོར་ས་མཁན་བཤེས་གཉེན་མགོན། །མུན་སེལ་སྒྲོན་མེ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །མཐོང་མིག་དབང་པོ་ཡིད་རྣམས་ཤེས། །ཆུ་བོ་རབ་མེད་སྒྲོལ་བའི་གྲུ། །འཇིགས་པའི་རྫོང་ཆེན་བརྟན་པའི་མཁར། །འཁོར་བའི་གཅོང་འབྱིན་སྨན་པའི་མཆོག །མཚོ་གླིང་རིན་ཆེན་སྦྱིན་བྱེད་པའི། །དེད་དཔོན་བླ་མ་དམ་པ་སྟེ། །སྔོན་དུ་ངེས་པར་ཤེས་པར་བྱ། །ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ། །དེ་དག་གི་དོན་ཡང་། ཇི་སྐད་བཤད་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་མཆོག་དག་ལས། །ཀུན་ལྡན་བླ་མ་ཨུ་དུམ་ཝཱ་ར་ཙམ། །ཕལ་ཆེར་ལྡན་པའང་སངས་རྒྱས་དང་འདྲ་ཞིང་། །དྲུག་ཚན་ཙམ་ ལྡན་དེ་ལའང་བསྟེན་རུང་སྟེ། །སྙིགས་མའི་དུས་འདིར་རབ་ཏུ་རྙེད་དཀའི་ཕྱིར། །རབ་ཏུ་གུས་པ་ཆེན་པོས་བསྟེན་པར་བྱ། །དེ་ལྟར་བཤད་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་ཀུན་ཚང་བ་ནི་མེ་ཏོག་གི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་དུམ་ཝཱ་ར་ལྟར་རྙེད་པར་དཀའ་ལ། ཡོན་ཏན་ཕལ་ཆེར་ལྡན་པའང་སང

精通解脱续部。 今生能渡轮回之河流者， 导师如意药王是， 胜过一切故，无与伦比恭敬依止。 以无量慈悲，凡结缘者皆具意义；精通乘之次第，能安置于任何所欲之解脱道；精通由下而上的次第，能引导低劣根器者进入善行；以甚深解脱道之口诀，能使自住之法身赤裸裸地现见自性；以精勤修持之甚深加持，能使功德增上；具有究竟之证悟，能使所化众生生起如实之证悟；具有甚深方便道，能将任何事物转化为道用；以众多不同之教诲，精通解脱众生之相续；以广大之见闻经验，精通断除魔障与歧途。 具有至高无上之见解，能解脱一切众生之相续。如《秘密如意宝续》云： “贤善且勤于利他， 究竟义理具智慧， 精通解脱为道之相续， 精通断除魔障与歧途， 无上心要上师之行。” 如是，若具足如上所说之所有功德，则应确信其为佛陀而依止之。然于五浊恶世，欲圆满具足一切功德实属难事。故若具足六种功德以下者，亦应认定为上师而摄受依止。如是以胜妙信心依止如是之殊胜上师。 《意集经》云： “成熟无上心要之缘， 迷途指引善知识怙主， 遣除黑暗明灯珍宝， 见眼根门意之识， 度无量河之舟， 怖畏之坚固城堡， 拔轮回病之医王， 海岛珍宝布施者， 导师上师即胜者， 先当如是而了知。” 彼等之意义为：如前所说之殊胜功德中， 具足一切功德之上师如乌昙婆罗花般稀有， 具足大部分功德者亦如佛陀一般， 具足六种功德者亦可依止， 因于此五浊恶世极为难得之故， 当以极大恭敬而依止之。 如是所说之功德圆满者，如花中之王乌昙婆罗花般难以寻觅，具足大部分功德者亦如佛陀一般。

Skilled in liberating the lineage. One who can cross the river of samsara in this life, The guide, the wish-fulfilling king of medicine, Is superior to all, so I rely on him with incomparable reverence. With immeasurable compassion, all connections are meaningful; skilled in the stages of the vehicle, able to place one on any desired path of liberation; skilled in the stages of ascending the path, able to lead those of inferior intellect into virtue; with profound instructions on the path of liberation, able to directly reveal the self-nature of the dharmakaya in its own place; with profound blessings of diligent practice, able to increase qualities; possessing ultimate realization, able to generate true realization in those to be tamed; possessing profound skillful means, able to transform anything into the path; with many diverse teachings, skilled in liberating the mindstream; with vast experience of seeing, hearing, and experiencing, skilled in cutting off demons and wrong paths. Possessing the ultimate view, able to liberate all mindstreams. As it is said in the Secret Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Tantra: "Wise and diligent in benefiting others, Endowed with wisdom in ultimate meaning, Skilled in liberating the mindstream as the path, Skilled in cutting off demons and wrong paths, The supreme essence is the conduct of the lama." Thus, if one possesses all the qualities mentioned above, one should generate certainty that he is a Buddha and rely on him. However, in this degenerate age, it is difficult to gather all these qualities together. Therefore, one who possesses six or fewer qualities should be recognized as a lama and relied upon. Thus, rely on such a supreme lama with supreme faith. The Gongdü states: "The cause for ripening the supreme essence, The friend who guides the lost, the protector, The precious lamp that dispels darkness, The seeing eye, the senses, the mind's consciousness, The boat that crosses the immeasurable river, The great fortress of fear, the stable city, The supreme physician who extracts the disease of samsara, The giver of the island's precious jewels, The guide, the lama, is the victor, First, one should know this." The meaning of these is: Among the supreme qualities mentioned above, A lama who possesses all qualities is like the udumbara flower, One who possesses most qualities is like a Buddha, One who possesses six qualities can also be relied upon, Because it is extremely rare in this degenerate age, One should rely on him with great reverence. One who possesses all the qualities mentioned above is as difficult to find as the king of flowers, the udumbara flower, and one who possesses most qualities is like a Buddha.
