From the beginning until completion. This is uncertain in duration. The shortest duration is until the completion of a mustard seed-related task. The longest duration is from generating Bodhicitta until attaining Buddhahood. A 'thang cig' is sixty moments. A 'yud tsam' is thirty 'thang cigs'. The seasons are winter, autumn, summer, and spring. The seventeen things that can be fully possessed are: oneself, parents, children, wife, slaves, servants, those who live on wages, friends, ministers, relatives, in-laws, fields, houses, goods for sale, things for making merit, things related to work, and things for accumulating wealth. The fourteen items for enjoyment are: food, drink, clothes, vehicles, ornaments, singing and dancing, laughter, the sound of music, incense, garlands of flowers, ointments, utensils, light, and the enjoyment of pleasure by men and women. The eight continuous practices are: fully examining other behaviors, wrapping the body with clothes, eating and drinking, acts of service to the body, sleeping, engaging in sexual activity, efforts related to it, and speech related to it. Furthermore, the ten worldly activities and three types of speech, twenty-two offenses, as well as the types of sentient beings, sixty-three, eight times, and four ways of entering. The ten worldly activities are: speaking, conversing, being happy separately, sending a bride, receiving a bride, calling, borrowing and lending, eating excessively, gathering and eating, and one person helping another when a dispute arises. The three types of speech are: that which is in accordance with the correct Dharma, that which is not in accordance with the Dharma, and that which is other than these. The first is speech that is in accordance with the simple possessions of the noble ones, and speech that removes the obscurations of the mind, that is, speech that definitely liberates from samsara. The second is speech that creates afflictions, becomes food for the mind, and increases defilements, such as speech about desires and trade. The third is everything that is not prophesied and is produced by thought.
