Okay. Here, I will describe these circumstances: The good grains disappear, leaving only food that matures in sixty days; wearing coarse cloth, silk and the like also disappear; there is no salt, and butter cannot be extracted from yogurt; parents, monks, Brahmins, and the like are not respected, but evil people are praised. Good grains such as rice, barley, wheat, and peas disappear. Only the grain that matures in sixty days grows, and they live on that. For clothing, they wear coarse cloth, and fine and soft materials like silk, cloth, and cotton are not available. Evil people are praised, and good people are reviled, so people do not rely on them. From then on, this evil time will last for a while. After that, what destroys them are weapons, disease, and famine. First, the way the age of weapons arises is: People fight and hate each other, and whatever they take from the ground turns into a weapon. They kill each other and fall into the lower realms. What destroys them with three conditions are: weapons, disease, and famine. First, the age of weapons is: People act unrighteously, and harmful thoughts arise. They think of killing and beating each other, like a hunter seeing a wild animal in a monastery. Then, whatever they take, whether wood, stone, clod, or stick, turns into a weapon, and they kill each other. Those who die will fall into hell, so in this age there are very many sentient beings in hell. The age of disease is: Then they will be afflicted by disease and die. People act unrighteously, causing the gods, nagas, and demons to fight each other and send down various kinds of diseases, and many will die from incurable diseases. Then the age of famine is: After being killed by weapons and disease, the remaining people will be destroyed by famine. They can only search for hidden food, piles of white bones, and scoop up food with a spoon, tormented by burning hunger and thirst. Those people act unrighteously, causing the nagas to fight each other, and it does not rain during the rainy season, leading to a bad harvest. Therefore, three famines will occur: hidden food, piles of white bones, and searching for food with a spoon. Among them, hidden food is: At that time, barley, rice, beans, and the like that were previously

Finding a little bit of leftovers, they are amazed to see it. Even if they see inferior grains such as barnyard millet, they put them in the granary and protect them. Because of hunger, their strength is exhausted, they fall to the ground and cannot get up, and because no one helps them, they die there. The white bones are the white bones of the dead in the past, which are collected and thought: These are the bones of those who eat meat. So they are boiled in a lot of water and drunk. The spoon-fed ones collect the found grain residue, boil it in a lot of water and drink it, and scoop up the grain with a spoon. This is because when the lifespan is eleven years old, the remaining grain residue is stored in a box and hoarded. When many people die, they are called box-keepers. After that, those who fill their hunger with residue are called spoon-fed. They also eat white bones, so they are called white-boned ones. These three appear in order. At that time, the kalpa of weapons lasts for seven days, the kalpa of disease lasts for seven months and seven days, and the kalpa of famine lasts for seven years and seven months, occurring between seven days, causing people to be exhausted. From the perspective of yoga practitioners, famine occurs when the lifespan is thirty years, disease occurs when it is twenty years, and weapons occur when it is ten years. At that time, similar things happen in the two continents of the east and west, but the mind of annoyance is more intense, the color is ugly and weak, and the suffering of hunger and thirst is more increased. Apart from that, there is nothing else. This is the difference between the people of Jambudvipa and their minds. It will never happen in the northern Kuru continent. The way the lifespan increases from ten years upwards is explained in detail as follows: When these three kalpas have almost exhausted everything, then the order of increase is shown: If there are people who remain and come to the village, They see each other and give rise to a joyful mind. Thus, some virtuous people remain, or enter a water island, or in the mountains, or between rocks, etc., and live on water and stay for seven days. After that, when they return to the village and see each other, they give rise to unprecedented surprise, joy, and loving-kindness, saying: Alas! I can actually see living people! The people gather and talk about the past sins again.
