Below Other-Emitted Enjoyment Heaven, it is the same as the Desire Realm, coming in physical form. The people of the four continents perceive day and night. Desire Realm gods know by the opening and closing of lotuses. Those with unpleasant sounds are reborn in the Thirty-Three Heavens after death. Others are uncertain, due to karma. The four continents have day and night. In the north, it is midnight; in the east, the sun sets; in the south, it is midday; and in the west, the sun rises. The four continents rotate. As stated in the Treasury of Knowledge: "Midnight, sunset, midday, and sunrise occur simultaneously." In Superior Body, there is spring; in Jambudvipa, there is summer; in Cow-Possession, there is autumn; and in Unpleasant Sound, there is winter. In Jambudvipa, during the summer solstice when the sun turns north, the days are longest. In the north, during the winter solstice when the sun turns south, the nights are longest. In Superior Body, there is the spring equinox, and in the west, there is the autumn equinox. Thus, the four continents have four seasons, and the sun's length, southward and northward movements, rotate. The sun moves north and south in six-month intervals, and the moon moves up and down. Like the sun and moon, all planets and stars also move across the four continents. Currently, calculations are made for the sun and moon, the seven or eight planets, and the twenty-eight constellations, including the dates, months, and the sun's zodiacal positions. The auspicious and inauspicious influences and results are calculated. Other stars do not have these characteristics, so they are not considered. Up to the Realm of Non-Discernment, there are no sun or moon. How are day and night established for the higher Desire Realm gods? There, they distinguish by the opening and closing of flowers, the singing and not singing of birds, and sleeping and waking. The function of appearance is performed by the light from their own bodies. Those with unpleasant sounds definitely accumulate the karma to be born in the Thirty-Three Heavens, so they are immediately reborn there after death. Other beings, such as gods and humans, are uncertain where they will be born due to various karmas. The order of the teachings mentioned earlier, and the distinct teachings just explained, can be summarized into three: form, time, and name, which are to be well distinguished. Thus, the limit of form is the subtle particle, the limit of time is the moment, and the limit of name is.

These worldly religions are summarized and explained in the final three letters of the words. Among them, the first part: The smallest unit of matter is the paramāṇu (atom), which increases sevenfold. Paramāṇu, aṇu (dust particle), iron particle, water particle, rabbit particle, sheep particle, ox particle, sunlight particle, louse, nit, barleycorn, finger joint. Seven paramāṇus make one aṇu. Seven aṇus make one iron particle. Seven iron particles make one water particle. Seven water particles make one rabbit particle. Seven rabbit particles make one sheep particle. Seven sheep particles make one ox particle. Seven ox particles make one sunlight particle. Seven sunlight particles make one louse. Seven lice make one nit. Seven nits make one barleycorn. Seven barleycorns make one joint of the middle finger. Twenty-four finger joints make one cubit. Four cubits make one bow's length, and five hundred bow's lengths make one *gyangdrag* (distance unit), which is considered the distance of a monastery. Eight *gyangdrag* make one *dpag tshad* (league). Twenty-four finger joints make one cubit. Four cubits make one bow's length, which is also one fathom. Five hundred fathoms make one *gyangdrag*, and a place more excellent than a village is called a monastery. Closer than that, half a *gyangdrag* is called a boundary. Eight *gyangdrag* make one *dpag tshad*, which is four thousand fathoms. Thus, all places and body sizes, including the King of Mountains, are measured. Second part: The smallest unit of time is the *kshana* (moment), which is one sixty-fourth or one one-hundred-twentieth of a finger snap. One hundred and twenty *kshanas* make one *de'i skad cig*. Sixty *de'i skad cig* make one *thang cig*. Thirty *thang cig* make one *yud tsam*. Thirty *yud tsam* make one day and night. Thirty days make one month, and twelve months make one year. The smallest unit of time, the *kshana*, refers to one part of the sixty-four *kshanas* that pass when a strong person snaps their fingers. Some also consider it to be one sixtieth. One hundred and twenty *kshanas* make one *de'i skad cig*. Sixty *de'i skad cig* make one *thang cig*. There are nine hundred *thang cig* in one day and night, which is one nine-hundredth of a day and night. Thirty *thang cig* make one *yud tsam*. Thirty *yud tsam* make one day and night. Moreover, when traveling north, the days are long, and when traveling south, the nights are long. When traveling equally, the days and nights are equal. Moreover, in summer, the wind pushing the sun's disc is small, and the pulling force is strong, so it goes close to the face of Mount Meru, thus going north of Jambudvipa (Rose Apple Island), and is sheltered by Mount Meru, so it is slow. In winter, it goes south from the continent, so the pushing force is strong.
