It is so called because it is the place of tree tops and play. The eight great nagas are: Nanda, Upananda, Ashvatara, Dhritarashtra, Takshaka, Virupaksha, Mahakala, and Elapatra. When these nagas fought with the asuras, they were born from the four modes of birth as assistants to Indra's army. The measurements of these seas are: The inner sea, Mount Sumeru and Yugandhara, are eighty thousand yojanas wide. The width of the east and west directions is three times that of each of the four directions. The inner circumference of the Playful Sea is 320,000 yojanas around the face of Mount Sumeru, and 960,000 yojanas around the face of Yugandhara. The second sea outside Yugandhara is 40,000 yojanas wide, equal to the height of that mountain. The rest are the same, the height of the inner mountain and the outer sea are equal. The width outside the Plough-Holder Mountain is 20,000, outside the Sandalwood Mountain is 10,000, outside the Beautiful Mountain is 5,000, outside the Horse-Ear Mountain is 2,500, and the width of the sea outside the last Able-to-Subdue Mountain is 1,300, and the length is three times that width. The width of the first is equal to the width of one side of Mount Sumeru, and the remaining six are considered to be equal to the height of the six mountains. From the Circumference-Holder to the surrounding Salty Sea, the width of the outer sea is 300,220 yojanas. From the Circumference-Holder to the Great Circumference-Holder, the width of the sea is 300,220 yojanas. Then, the continents are as high as the ground and the water. The reason is that above and below the ocean, the four directions of Mount Sumeru, the great oceans, looking inward and outward, the wind continents stand up in similar shapes. From those waters, the viscous parts were collected, inserted downwards, and stood upwards at the same height as the water, slightly higher. The time is as previously shown, at the end of the destructive aeon. They are also composed of the four continents and subcontinents that arise from their own substance. Of these, the eastern: Videha is crescent-shaped, with three sides of 2,000 yojanas each. The convex side is one yojana.
