Burning. Plundering offerings, treasures of the Three Jewels, and so on. The three kings harmed each other, causing unrest in the kingdoms of all three. For a while, they reconciled, unified their rule, and gathered many troops. They would plunder and seize Gandhara and Mahadeva, and other places on this side of the Ganges River in India. At that time, on the southern side across the Ganges, in the country of Kausambi, a king named Mahendrasena had a son born, named Prasaha, who had an iron mole between his eyebrows and whose forearms were smeared with blood. At the same time, five hundred ministers each had sons born, whose palms were also covered in blood. Simultaneously with these events, the king also obtained a talking foal. At night, rain of blood would fall from the sky. The king asked a sage with clairvoyance about the omens of these events. The sage prophesied: "King, your son will become the king of Jambudvipa." Then, twelve years after the prince was born, the former kings Yava and the other two, with an army of hundreds of thousands, together with the kings, marched on the territory of King Mahendrasena. The king was unhappy because of the approaching army and sat in sorrow. His son Prasaha asked: "Why is my father so displeased?" The father said: "The armies of three kings have come, and I am afraid." The son said: "Father, do not be displeased; I will be able to defeat these armies." The father said: "That is good." Then, the prince led two hundred thousand troops, including the five hundred extraordinary sons of ministers, and fought. During the battle, he generated an iron mole from between his eyebrows, transformed his entire body into iron, and attacked with great fury. Prasaha won the battle and returned. The father said: "Son, it is excellent that you have won the battle against the armies of these three kings. From now on, you should be the king, and I will go forth." Thus, the son took over the kingdom. For the next twelve years, he fought with the armies of the three kings.

Then, he conquered many armies in succession. Three kings were also captured and annihilated. From then on, he became the king of Jambudvipa. After that, the king said to his ministers, "Although I am happy to be the king of Jambudvipa, I am unhappy because the sin of killing so many sentient beings is great. How can this sin be expiated?" The ministers replied, "In the country of Patilputra, there is a Dharma master who knows the three pitakas, a Brahmin named Akarnada's son, called Siksacara, who lives in a monastery. If he is invited, he will be able to expiate the sin." The king was pleased and invited the bhiksu Siksacara. The king prostrated to him and asked, "How can all sins be expiated?" He replied, "If you make offerings to the Three Jewels for twelve years and seek refuge, the sins will be expiated." Then, he sent messengers to summon all the bhiksus in Jambudvipa, gathered them all in Kausambi, and did not allow them to give Dharma teachings in other countries. On the way, most of the bhiksus were destroyed by wild animals, savages, and water, etc. Only about a million of them returned to the king. After they arrived, the king offered a great feast and made offerings. Then, the bhiksus asked each other, "Who is your teacher? Where did your disciple go? Where is your Dharma friend, the Vinaya holder?" As they asked each other, they heard stories of those who had been killed by wild animals and savages, those who had been carried away by water, and those who had died from disease, etc. Each of them was overcome with grief, weeping and wailing, and beating their breasts. Then, the king exhorted them not to grieve, but the sangha did not listen, and the king was displeased and turned away to sleep. As he slept, he prayed, "I have not found refuge in the worldly sangha. May I see the face of an arhat!" The worldly gods prophesied in a dream, "On Gandhamadana Mountain, there lives an arhat named Deva, the son of Suranasa. If he is invited, he will expiate your sins and dispel your doubts." As soon as the king woke up from his dream, he sent messengers according to the dream's instructions, invited the noble one, and made offerings and prostrations.
